My girlfriend and I just recently had our first child, I was going to wait until after she was born to file my taxes. Little did I know she would have had to been born before the first of the year

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but the exemptions don't cover the costs, don't get me wrong, I gladly claim my kids as dependents but it isn't exactly a money maker.
