What did you guys do? Sell out against the run? You shut down the Sphere running game but Plunkett made you pay and that Sphere defense is stifling. You had like 3 drives in a row inside the 30 but came up with 2 missed FG's and a turnover on downs. I was really glad that the Sphere won this game because I considered the MB Bears to be the 2nd toughest team to beat after Tallahassee. I still think the MB Bears will beat the Mavericks.

Amazing how much better we can be without some tool from Kansas calling smoke draws, options to the short side of the field on 3rd and 7, and sitting your 275lb all time leading TD leader on 3rd and 4th and goal from the 2.

Sounds like you had Houston Nutt calling your plays instead of some one from Kansas.

Thanks, Buddy

Our biggest problem is that we don't have a lot of depth on our bench - our starters are great players, but they can only do so much before they tire out. We're working hard to solve the problems, and we'll get there, but for now, winning isn't easy

Pirates win 24-7. Good Game grizzlies. Maybe next time. I had a lot of faith in our defense basing it off your last game against the steelheads. I had a hunch we can hold you guys to a shutout or 1 score.

Good game guys.

Good game Pirates. You taking the opening kickoff to the house and us not taking advantage of the four interceptions killed us.

Are defense has been playing very well when we turn the ball over, that game against the carebears ended with a lot of turnovers on our part as well. Lucky the defense is the key to our success.

*shrugs* Whatta gonna do?

It's a silly way to think, because unlike RL a "crappy" team can become rock solid literally overnight...a number of the teams in the West that are loosing have good level players that perhaps have builds that are slightly off optimal and/or tactics choices that make that little bit of difference between a win or loss. It's more obvious in the newer leagues - but in these sophomore leagues it's still happening too.

As far as Houston not getting any props...I've found it's easier if you just accept that any and all achievements by your team are flukes and the only valid teams in the conference with valid accomplishments are either the Seminoles or Bears...once you accept that then having your team dumped on makes sense...because your not the Seminoles or Bears and are not a valid team.

Good on you Cerneo...it's that little bit of intermittent positive reinforcement that will keep your excellent pre-game shows running

Also, Wolfe I want to call that number, but I've learned my lesson about random Phone numbers on bathroom walls.

Yup he ended up with a butthole 5 times larger than normal, and a new boy friend that he still can't shake

Main reason Houston still fails to get props is still due to the very poor ending they had to last season. I still don't think anyone in the West will finish the year without a loss. The next 4 games are huge for everyone. After that you can start bragging. Until then relax.

LOL last season. And we do get props. My inbox is full of "props". Cerneo may not give us props, but if you did it would be equivalent to a special olympics star telling me I am fast.

Who knows who the best team in this league is right now, but I do know we are just as good as any. This will be a fun season to watch unfold.
