Guys, this: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/381284/31365

What do I always say you run (Passing-wise) against Zone?

That defense is Tampa 2 out of nickel. It was a new play created last off season by Bort. It works great and much better than nickel Cover 2 Sink.

Oh I'm staying until Vet unless some mass reset of teams happen.

Is that to both offense and defense? If so i think I would argue that offense didn't need this buff as it is much harder to make use of a wide array of defense plays due to the matrix than it is for offense to do so and still be effective. Agreed though that defense needed it due to said wide array of plays used offensively.

for better CPU builds. Bort/Cdog what are your thoughts on CPU superstars? Is that something you guys are very against?

Another question about CPU builds. When you say more focused spending does that mean there will be some more focused builds based on receiving, blocking, pass rush, run stop, blitz, zone, man, etc? If so is there going to be a way we can differentiate as users for this or are we just blindly watching these guys?

CPU Builds: Great update. Could you please open them? Open builds would help a lot. At least if the builds were open, you'd know what you have. Information is vital to success and the biggest reason teams fold is lack of success.

So if you're improving CPU builds so that teams can use them to fill holes at Seasoned, Journey and Pro, why are you withholding key information from them?

The delusion runs strong with you. At some point I have to ask: are you insane? Like do facts not matter?

Everyone should watch the play I posted starting at tick 23 and then watch in slow-mo what happens. Look at the north half of the field and look at the south. It's a disaster.

Now let's add some actual math facts to this discussion. Here's the data for S20 from GLB2Scout:

Nickel Tampa 2 Sink: Comp% 60.25% for YPC 10.93. That's a 60% chance for a First Down on every passing play. This is from All Games (not the CPU ones) of All Tiers against 3WR Offense.

Now let's look at TRIPS specifically. There are 39 Passing plays out of Trips. Excluding the 4 screens (with a 100% comp% rate), the remaining data is 24 completions out of 35 plays for a completion rate of 68.5% for a YPC of 10.875.

What was your comment? "It works great".

I'm sure it's to randomize signings, so people can't sign all amazing cpu players, or cpus strong in one area.

That's actually the point.

If you are using CPU players against teams without CPU players, aren't the human players strong in one area? And that is known by the coaching staff?

The CPU players will never be "optimal". Good enough will help out teams. Real teams will always want optimal players - the massive skewing of Attributes proves this. I just don't see the point in having "better CPU players" and then hiding "why" they are better from the team that is using them.

The argument that good CPU players will decrease reliance on human players is a contrived fallacy.

this

I like that they trying to make CPU players not suck ass, but it would be nice to know what direction the builds are focused.

Fixing the CPUs is a good idea, but the combine numbers I've seen on the re-rolled ones still don't look impressive.

doubtful. the cpu dots still aren't going to be massively impressive and their high end caps aren't going to be great because they aren't min maxing their attributes.

Information is important. Open the builds so people can at least see what they are. Attribute min/maxing from players is always going to create better caps and builds.

My comment is those plays were not all run against my awesome zone defense. So you can take those "facts" and toss 'em.
