a guy I work with lives in a city that has a city clean up day - where anything too big to be picked up by the garbage guys they come by and pick up once a year - so this day brings out all the rif raf people of the world as they come looking to make a nickel off other people's trash - so 5 of us are sitting here grilling out have beers watching this and it's incredible - I brought over this 50 inch 400lb box tv that my mom has had in her basement for 15 years, some guy drives by( he already has a tv in the back of his rotted out 87 Mazda extended cab truck) stops put it into reverse, him and his buddy get out, look at it for like 5 mn talk amongst themselves - they move it and its too heavy so they get on the phone and another truck comes and they help them lift it into the truck that just stopped and they take the tv that's in the 1st truck and set it at the end of the driveway - this is fantastic people watching, I hope some of you also get to experience this because it is priceless

Last night I had the misfortune of channel surfing into a "Concert for Women's Empowerment". Apparently today's definition of "empowerment" includes the ability to use the "n" word, pretending to be a singer while dressed as a stripper, and standing up for the right of women in the dirty south to "get their grind on". Its amazing what passes as progress in broken cultures.
