Blitzing still works on 3rd/4th downs. Other downs, not so much.

How do you buff a pass rush? Make the DL crush the O-Line every play? I don't see how you can buff a pass rush. With Gold spin cycle and tunnel vision, the D-Line gets to the QB in like 2 seconds on most plays already.

The QB's pass or pocket awareness needs to be nerfed so it takes him longer to find and/or get rid of the ball.

Line Crasher doesn’t really work, it just makes the LB run faster.
Diving is essentially useless, doesn’t really increase the sack or tackle ratio which is a waste of time to invest in. They don’t f-ing dive.
OL men beef up run specs and fingers cross it on pass plays. These linemen perform pretty well since they’re dominating against the run.
Spin cycle & TV are nice, but let’s not act like they’re great. You have to build your line properly to make the most of these skills.

As a blitz heavy user I’d say the biggest thing is pathing and poor awareness. 80 blitz awareness and you’ll still watch your guys let people go by or get caught by blocks they shouldn’t have due to it. QB doesn’t get hurried even with defenders right in his face (figured that was a consistency thing, but I’ve seen extremely low consistency and this still happen)

Primarily pathing. If guys are held back to block then the guys covering them make their own moves to god know where for god knows why. Safeties are set to conservative (which they are on non blitz plays) but as soon as a blitz is called it seems like everyone is automatically set on aggressive.

Blitzing isn’t “bad”, but it could definitely be better. It’s just not as worth is when you could either zone blitz and send as many as you want or play man and force them to run. Either one would be better than blitzing tbh, I only do it because straight man is boring and zone is too complex for me to get into building wise bc of how I like to use DBs.

You buff a pass rush by letting CB's jam WR's at the line and use press coverage. You could also use a 'disguise' SA for zone or put a check into the sim for QB's (pass awareness) to see that the play is zone rather than man.

DE reads, gets off the block, and still let’s the HB go instead of engaging. HBs (especially stars) have more of an edge. I get the whole “Vet QBs don’t take sacks” argument, but there’s no point when the HBs are the best position in the game. Don’t bring the energy on the blitz and they’ll f**k you up lol.

Currently allowing multiple 60+ yard TDs to 2* backs lol. There’s too many awareness checks that happen in blitzes. That and putting guys one on one with S* HBs in this game is really just a crazy persons tactic

Glad we’re talking about blitzing lol. Been seeing a lot of people talking out their ass that man is “better”. Man isn’t better, it’s just easier to scheme overall since you can double team receivers and force the HB to do all the work.

If most of these teams ran actual one on once man coverage I’d expect to see the same numbers guys are putting up against zone tbh.

Yep - zone are about equal to m2m. But high entry barrier is causing that Zone to be something new for good players that do not want man any more. And such players know what they are doing. So there are no weak zone team. And there are weak m2m teams. Thus there is bias against zone.

And if U cant beat zone - join us and see for yourself. Church of Holy Zone will gladly take more players!

I was thinking like buffs to First Step, Intimidation, Trash Talk, and Tunnel Vision, but I see your point.

Also TTN and OTR prob need more of a nerf too, IMO...especially if the deep ball is the new offensive meta.

Idk who’s saying the deep ball is the new offensive meta but if you’re in Vet, I implore you.

Please run the ball, you will win. If you pass, we will murder your QB(s).
