I think its great that JetNation has turned itself into a legitimate contender this year. It's an amazing turn around.

And if Lincoln does lose in the playoffs, would it really be that big of a laugh? We lose to good teams. I guess we should be made fun of because there are other competitive teams in GLB.

Any seeds 2-7 could upset us in the playoffs because they're all good teams.

I bought a gutted team mid season, how fast did you expect for me to turn this team around? I inherited a HORRIBLE team ,lol so pretending how bad that team was is any reflection on me as an owner is funny.

My team isn't talking championship....we just want the respect we earned THIS season.

If our record last yr,or the yr before diminishes or tarnishes our record this yr...I'll be a monkeys uncle.

Been there, done that.

You haven't earned respect from me. As long as I've been in A you've been terrible. Whatever you've done this season I'm not sure of as I've not been around to witness it and can't be bothered with following the regular season super closely.

Rock the boat in the post-season then we're talking.

One good regular season NEVER earned anyone respect. That's what the playoffs are for.

This is nothing to do with you guys. Look at teams like the Arsenal or Madden Nation last season, they were good but it simply takes more than 1 year to earn respect.

Once again, I said, in the USA A 2 East conference Lincoln would be 11-5 or 10-6. Who has Lincoln played this season from the East ? Windycity in which they beat by 1 point in a scrimmage ? LOL ! Windycity is only the 5th best team in the East. Iowa City, Windsor, Beer Town, and Hollywood would all smash Lincoln.

We wouldn't make the playoffs in the East. You guys would smash us just like you did last season. Remember?

Hmmmmmmmm ... would you happen to be talking about THIS game:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=78126

The game where you guys failed to score a TD on us ? The game where we had 1 HB and 1 FB on roster ? So we did not even attempt to run the ball ? The game where we passed 61 times, only completing 49 %, and almost won ? The game where we had almost zero depth in every position ? Oh ok ... yeah ... that was the game you were talking about. Wasn't it ?

You always have an excuse when you lose. I didn't recruit your shitty roster. Congrats on resigning more of your players to fill the void on your team, douchemop. If you don't have depth, that's certainly not my problem and since it is YOUR team, I'd say you don't really have room to be running your suck. Wait, Bort probably rigged your contracts to release all your RB and FB, right?

PS - I give a damn if we scored a touchdown or not. At the end of the game, our points scored was higher than your points scored.

Feel free to STFU.

BTW, since you think that I am just making excuses, why don't you try cutting both of your backup HB's and just rolling with Shock ? You would be 8-8 at best if you did. Anyways Im done with your dumbass. Lets see how the Playoffs go. Lincoln best live up to the hype.

Good idea. Let me see how many guys I can cut now that rosters are locked.

FYI, you controlled your roster. If you choose to carry one RB, you are a dumbass. That's not a reflection on me.

Pisspoor attempt on the troll. Lincoln is far more than two backup running backs (one of which was added at the trade deadline).

I run a solid team. Period. So when we lose, yes, there is always an explanation. Thats just football.

Do you watch college football ? Did you see Rick Rod lose his Michigan debut ? Embarrassing, yes, but at least in the press conference he took the heat and pointed out the exact problems that caused them to lose. Thats what a good coach does. Correct the problems and move on so that they do not get fired.

Do you watch the NFL ? The Giants had absolutely no chance of out-scoring the high powered offenses of the Cowboys, Packers, or the Patriots. So what did they do ? They did not allow it to become a shootout. They DOMINATED defensively. They played the type of D that has never been played before against the Patriots. Thats what good coaches do.

So what is Lincoln's excuse for never winning a championship ? I swear, if you guys don't win it this year then you will absolutely be the jokes of this league and possibly of the entire USA.

Here's a fact for you to suck on.

We've never lost to a team that didn't win the LEAGUE championship. Our excuse is that we weren't the #1 team in the league. I don't make excuses. We don't lose often enough to make excuses. Anytime a game is played random factors can come into play and either team can win. Sin City was better than Lincoln last season but we really looked great against them in the scrimmage this season.

Are we "THAT" much better than Sin City because we beat them in a scrimmage this season? Nope ... just a perfect storm of circumstances that played out to our advantage. I'd be ecstatic if we'd already won a championship but I'm not embarrassed to say that we're 15-0 this season and 35-3 over the past two seasons in USA A2.

I think we're good enough to compete with anyone in GLB without any doubt in my mind. Am I so cocky that I don't see anyone in the West that could beat us in the playoffs? Nope -- I can look at a small handful of rosters in the conference that have a reasonable chance to beat us but I think we're the favorite to win every game we play.

The playoffs will play out and we'll see how it shakes out. I think it'll be interesting.

Did any of them go from as bad as we were to as good as we seem to be right now as quickly as we did?

If this entire season isn't enough of a barometer to tell you how improved we are...will a couple playoff wins vs teams we already beat? Seriously...if anything, come this time next season my record would be a better judge of if we were a fluke or a legit contender.

True?

A second season of success would be huge...a championship win followed by promotion and success at the next level (arguably not much of a jump to be frank) even moreso.

For the record, I and two of my friends (a starting CB, DT and LB) joined Jetnation on the 2nd (or 3rd?) week of this season during the infamous gutting of the Dodge City Six Shooters. It was a decision my friends and I made based on the seemingly perfect fit of our positions on their team, and the attitude of the owner when we communicated with him. I honestly had no idea Mods were on the team until after we had joined.

Be as skeptical as you want, but no matter how you look at it, smizzy deserves a ton of credit for turning this into a playoff team. No one can demand respect, but when it is deserved and not offered, it can be pretty frustrating. Smizzy has worked his tail off, and I respect him for his dedication, honesty and hard work, regardless of how we fare in the playoffs. You should too.

Not much of a jump ? Then why are you guys only in 2nd place ? If you guys don't win it all then I feel that your future comments chould be taken with a grain of salt.

p.s. Also, why is Baltimore 10-5 in the 'not much of a jump league?'

The brand of offense Baltimore ran in USA A2 (pass, pass and pass some more) is not nearly as effective this season as it was last. The fact that they have adapted and are still a solid team up there is a real accomplishment.

Sin City beat the number 1 seed in the regular season and may still walk away with the top spot. I expect to see Sin City chillin' with OKC next season (assuming OKC does not move up to pros).

You haven't earned anything from any of us either.

Damn. You guys are soooo smart. You managed to beat a bunch of teams you outlevel--and vs. the two teams you're most similar to, you're 1-1.

I wish that someday, JetNation could be half the team you guys are. Man, then we'd really be fantastic. We could even tell everyone who and who doesn't deserve respect!

And could you explain the "Mercenary GM" statement? I feel I've been called a mercenary GM, and I don't really know what that means. Again, I understood the meaning of "mercenary" as someone who works for money, and I'm doing this because I want to be successful with an owner who knows what he's doing.

Tell me, makbeer, what exactly is a "Mercenary GM"?

We earned it in 2 seasons in USA A#2, with a 2nd round playoff loss to Lincoln, followed by a league championship.

Also earned it by going 2-0 vs the Navs last season, regular season and playoffs. FIrst to clinch the #1 seed, second to make the championship game.

MErcenary GM refers to the folk who join various teams to use their influence to recruit players.

IF it's not true, ya'll have gotten seriously worked up over an off-hand remark.

And DAvi - we were 14-2 in A2 last season. This season, we're going to be 14-2 in USA AA#1...so yea..same thing.
