When in doubt, blame Canada.

Tracking Sacks Allowed would be awesome, and much more useful than Pancakes.

i agree. sacks allowed should be a stat. I have a LOT that is pass focused. he doesnt get many pancakes but i would like to compare how good he is by seeing how many sacks he has allowed

That way we can see who really is the best blocker, and it will be a stat that we could actually judge people on rather than just pancakes. What do you guys think?

Except by default a team that runs a lot will obviously have guys with the least amount of sacks allowed. So in conclusion this doesn't do dick to gauge offensive linemen even still.

"Blocks broken" would be the only stat I'm interested in. If your guy fails but the RG/FB helps out, it's not a sack allowed - but yet you failed.

So if on pass plays the defender gets by you before the pass is thrown or if on run plays the defender makes the tackle, you'd get a "Block broken".
