The whole fallacy of his argument is in his assumption that the higher leagues starter out with better teams in them. Since many of the USA leagues were created at the same time many of the teams were started at the same time within them as well. Its not like the good teams were placed in AAA while the bad teams were placed in A. After 5 or 6 more seasons it may work out that way with the appropriate teams moving up and down, but as long as teams are being deserted in all leagues and remaining in those leagues instead of being dropped down automatically to the BBB's. This is something that Bort should work on, but with so much on his plate who know's when it will be fixed.

True, any team from the initial batch of teams (I believe it went all the way down to B leagues at the time) are on a level playing field. I think some Pro teams had an advantage because of alpha, but most of the teams in here were created at the same time as every other "pro" league.
