Well Saipan Fighters, the hopes of entering the playoffs crumbled today against the Brisbane Gods. To many small mistakes kept the Fighters from competing in this one. Something positive came out of the game, the Fighters found they found a great kicker who once in range can knock 'em down the middle.

So the planning for season five is now in play. Comicfanman and coaching staff will be working hard to solidify their team members and get as much growth from them as possible. Working together with minimal member changes is going to be the key here. So far so good with almost all members returning and a small handful left to resign. There are a couple of outside players committed in joining for season five which will help the team out overall. The remaining games will be training games for all on the club and for the coaching staff. What will be in store for Saipan's future? Stay tuned....

Hello Saipan Fighters' fans and non fans. Team owner comicfanman has been working overtime trying to secure open spots for season 5 and working on contract extensions for those who have yet to sign. The Fighters have five hold out players that are on the fence on whether they are to return or not. Six players have their bags already packed and can't wait for the season to be over. With commitments made by new future Saipan Fighters, comicfanman is trying to secure 2 open spots by future prospects. This of course all depends on the teams holdouts. It could be a mad dash at seasons end to find replacement for the hold outs if they don't sign.

It will be an interesting off post season and off season for the Fighters. Training will be the main focus for all of the returning players to make sure they are working together the way the rest of the teams in the league are playing now. The talent is fierce in this league and it will continue to be an uphill battle for the Fighters. Are they up for the challenge? Stay tuned...

Hello Saipan Fighters fans!!! Everything here is now under control after the fire. Remodeling is still under way but we have a story to bring. The Fighters fought a tough 13-1 FFLW Caninites today and put up a decent battle. The Fighters lost but they were able to put up twenty points against the tough Caninites defense. Saipan is only the forth team this season to score twenty or more against the Caninites which was a major accomplishment as with the team holding them to under fifty points. I am sure everyone in the league was surprised by that.

There is still much work to be done here at Saipan but the team is well on it's way to something great. Will season five bring in more ticket sales after the great scrimmage game and the way Saipan has been hanging tough against some of the top caliber teams in the league? I guess we will have to see. One more game left in regular season and it is another tough game for Saipan. Maybe the Fighters can pull out a victory and finish on a good note going into season 5. Stay tuned...

Season 5 is under way Saipan Fighters' fans. With 24 hours until the first preseason game versus the Perth Scorpions everyone can feel the vibration of excitement. Yes, we know fans, the preseason games are not at home so you'll have to watch from your couches unless you are able to catch a quick flight. There has been much work done by the management in getting the team ready for season 5 and everyone seem pretty enthusiastic about what is going on.

The rejuvenated Fighters are ready for what seems to be a great year after a couple of bleak seasons. Dylan Salisbury returns to lead the Fighters to what appears to be a winning season for the first time since season 1. With his receiving crew headed up by Catch Anything, Kid Dynomite, and Hop And Bop, and followed up by some great younger players, Salisbury is hoping to have a great season with some big numbers. Russell Brown and Big Stump plan on breaking some heads with some powerful inside runs this season and with the addition of 2 great backups the running game should finally take off. And yes fans don't forget about the O-Line, they have been hitting the weights and slimming down during the off season and should be prepared to handle a many of defensive line man this season. There is going to be some great competition for starting positions on the line all year long.

Saipan Fighters defense is headed up be team Captain Demon Skullcrusher who has his defense geared up and ready for battle. Plan on seeing many snot bubbles all season long. The linebacker staff is ready to plug the holes, rush the quarterback and eat some interceptions in the middle all season long. The D-Line has done some big work during the off season and owner comicfanman brought in a monster to plug the middle against the run. Watch out for this monster, Keifer Dog plans on tearing heads off of some running backs and quarterbacks and offensive lineman all year. The Fighters have worked hard on their defensive backs also. To many bombs last year and missed tackles put a little sting in the ass of most players on the defense last year and they look to correct many mistakes from last season.

The Fighters are not settling for another losing season. So look for them to make the playoffs with at least a 10-6 record and hopefully fans they can get some big upsets in the playoffs. Stay tuned....

I agree. Thanks for the support, but I don't think we should be at the top right now. That spot definitely belongs to the 'Nites, with back to back titles and an improved roster.

I like this list better then last years, I would prefer that we fly under the radar this time around.

Everyone look at the Nites! Nothing to see here, move along.

Well Saipan Fighters fans we had a nail biter in the first scrimmage. What a game!!!

Both teams came out and put everything they had on the table. Saipan played the passing card and Perth played the running card. We almost ended up with a draw. This is the way football should be played. Saipan kept QB Boss Bridges guessing all game. The Fighters held him to only 50% passing and picked him off twice. But when Mr. Interception began to high step down the sideline to early Boss got his paybacks and put a stop to the what seemed to be an easy touchdown.

Even though this ended up a loss for the Fighters, morale couldn't be any better. Take away the showboating mistake in a preseason game and the game was won. But instead with thirty seconds remaining in the game Peg Leg knocked one through the uprights to give Perth a 3 point lead. Peg Leg had shaken off the cobwebs after missing his first kick of the season on an extra point in the first quarter. Leaving only twenty eight seconds for Saipan to get a FG to take the lead. The dangerous kick returner Allen Rossum gave it his best effort and with one tackler to get by in what might have been a spectacular return was put to an end by Fulton Reed.

Next preseason game won't be any easier. Stay tuned....

My rankings:

1 Brisbane Gods
2 Vanuatu Kava Sharks
3 Brisbane Heat
4 Melbourne Thorny Devils
5 Banzai Pipeline 'Nites
6 Rawle Tech Titans
7 Fiji Stingers
8 Co-op City Blitz
9 IC Incinerators
10 Tongan Crimson Auha
11 Saipan Fighters
12 Big Island Growas
13 Nauru Tiger Sharks
14 Jakarta Men O' War
15 Great Barrier Reef Sharks
16 Cleveland Dawg Pound
