I bet Kevin Mawae would laugh all the way to IHOP after blocking in a high school game too.

You do have to wonder what is wrong with a guy that good signing in a league like this.

Flounder probably let him borrow his credit card.

Why is everyone all riled up about Mekong? Yeah, they have good players. They did what we tried to do. Get better players than everyone else. I hope that he manages his finances well enough to keep his team. Their first four games are easy, but they aren't going to overcome their chemistry against the better teams in the league. That probably means that they'll be back next year and ready to dominate, but whatever.

I don't like the fact that he has players that should be playing in the pros, but it sounds like the sportsmanship stuff is supposed to kick in next year and that should hurt his team too.

Let's not lose sight of the fact that they won 48-21 against a team that isn't supposed to make the playoffs. 48-0, I would be scared. That 48-21 is going to be a much different game against the top 6 or 7 teams in our division.

Good luck to everyone! I'm not hating, but I'll be rooting for everyone who plays Mekong, because I root for the underdog.

I'll definitely be pulling for Winona against the Idols, not because I have anything against the Idols but because I also like pulling for the underdog.

I would much prefer to be the underdog, people usually underestimate you and you can squeak in and steal a win now and again.

Go Winona!

Yeah, I was pretty shocked to see those 21 points.

That sportsmanship rule goes away if the players have played together on the same team for longer than 40 days All of my non ibflounder guys have committed themselves for the next 3 years. The 21 pts is my fault combo between low chem and low mental capacity to have the right coverage they had 2 catches for long TDs the safeties were going for interceptions and got burned twice.Hey you live and you learn.Im just glad we won. I'd hate like hell to start out of the gate with a loss.My chem had to take a hit for the team to get better and rather now than playoff time. I have the toughest schedule the last 3 to 4 games of year.

And im not scared of any team. It is what it is.

Although there will be a rule like this in place there has been no length of time released all Bort has said is...

The types of things that improve or reset sportsmanship to the max:
- Signing with a team where you are at or under the recommended level
- Signing with a team where you are one of only 1-3 players above the recommended level (mentoring)
- Playing a game with your team (sticking with the team)
- Resigning with a team (limits per season apply)
- Boosting
- Being one of 3 or less players on the team owned by the same agent

My Information was from Bort himself via PM.there will be a 40 day penalty. Then the penalty will be lifted. If your players have played together for more than 40 days it does not go retroactive. You will not be included when instituted. You cant go out and punish a guy because he recruits level 26-29's That would break the spirit of fair play by rewarding the weak and punishing the strong.
They already have that system in place by promoting winning teams to more competitive leagues.and demoting weaker teams to lower leagues.

What are you talking about? If the rule was in place this season more likely than not you would have been penalized, you are just lucky that it is coming out next year not this one.

I guess Bort didn't explain to you the whole point of the system in your super secret PMs.

the promotion/demotion system is extremely flawed. Look at the pro leagues, 3 seasons of demotions and there are still cupcake teams that wouldn't win in a AA league. Even if someone has the best team (level wise) in the league and go 16-0 during regular season, doesn't mean they will win the conference and get promoted. (in fact i've heard of teams trying NOT to win conference final games to stay in the weaker leagues and not just in the new A leagues)

The point of the sportsmanship thing is to make sure players are supposed to play where they should be playing. There are pro teams right now that need that lvl 29 OT to stay competitive, but can't get it because you wanted to dominate a AA league.

well said Turbo,

why do you think bort and co. wants to implement this? To stop guys like your lvl 29 OT from playing in leagues he could just dominate and rack up stats. I would have no trouble if you went out and recruited guys within the level range of the league but to get guys who could START in the pro leagues is not fair play. You yourself is breaking the fair play that you speak of.

But whatever can't do anything about it, Alpha have fun with the guy. Seeing that 21 scored is relief for the teams that plays them.

Why would I go out recruiting with the aim of being mediocre. Oh no your too good for us,cant sign you! What you really want is a level 16 OT so you can get your sack totals up. Tell the truth you feel bad about being shut down dont you.Its ok man its only one game.

You have the worst logic I have ever seen, every coherent post that turbo, xuchilles, and I have made has gone right over your head, you then don't rebut our arguments and simply make some vague general statement.
