You have to remember energy does not come into play during these games

I know there's no post-game energy, but I thought there was at least in-game energy.... right ?

No.

Well there is some in-game energy.
Look.... http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=79055
All the players subbed in & out just like the should have.

If there was no in-game energy, the starting OL, RB, etc. woulda played the entire game. It obviously subbed them.

However, the issue is that the top 2 WRs & top 2 CBs played the entire game, and I left the CB#/WR# spots blank, and just listed the CBs in the CB spot, etc.

incorrect, there is in-game energy. It just resets to the regular energy at the end of the game. (otherwise -to Huk's point - there would be no substitutions)

Exactly.

What I can't figure out... is in at least 8 of the USA A#1 scrimmages I've looked at... the #1 & #2 CBs played the *entire* game. Some played 80 plays, and I doubt your sub-in/sub-out #s were set like that.

I think some other people had issues with not filling out the CB and WR spots, maybe the old slotting system is defunct now?

.......No, it reset after every play if you lost to much stam on a play you would come out. If you favored backups at any point they would come out, if you get up by a good ammpount, even without the other settings set, they come out.

Look at the link of my game. I have settings that say "favor backups when up 28 points". This happened for my DT/NT/DE/LB/S positions. It never happened for my CBs. My #1 & #2 CBs played the *entire* game, and we were up *big*.

My CBs played the right number of plays...like they normally do. It works just fine...we did screw up with our WRs in a similar way.

At any rate, it isn't the sim's fault...are they even changing anything with energy?

Another case in point H-Town winning by 94 :
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=79051
http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=1310

H-Town's defense was on the field for 76 plays and that's EXACTLY the # of plays that their top 2 CBs were on the field.

One of odd things we saw was our starting RB got 1 carry with no special energy settings in place at all. Our backup saw just as many plays and got 8 carries.

Has anyone figured out how to properly use the CB1/CB2/etc. spots on the depth chart ?

Leaving them blank didn't work... the top 2 CBs played the entire game. The #3/#4 CBs only came in against 3/4 WR formations. I see other teams who had filled their CB1/2/etc. spots one deep had the same issues.

WTF ?

Same thing with WRs. I hope this is fixed soon.

I'm really laughing right now...do all you guys assume that because your game-plans didn't work perfectly, that something is horribly wrong with the game? Maybe try to learn from what are likely your mistakes first...

I actually like some of the changes and love the 3-4 option. However I don't want to slot my CBs and WRs 1,2,3,4,5. I want them subbing in and out like last season. We are learning as we go here so don't be so critical. We all can't be as perfect as you.

So it appears you *have* to fill all the CB #X spots 3 deep....
Apparently either leaving them blank or only putting one CB in each of the CB #X spots doesn't work.

Did you consider that that wasn't my point at all?

The plays we called were pretty much what we expected, and other than one mistake our substitutions worked like they did last season. Our game plan worked for the most part...I would have said the same if that it had resulted in a loss, though we would have had to change our strategy too. It did what we told it to...did yours? Or are you going to wait for it to be fixed?

hehe...douchebag...
