If I read right the problem with what we have come to know as good builds may get penalized for ignoring other attributes.Since penalities are coming into play several attributes people have ignored are going to come into play greatly in the not so far future.

I'm not sure where everyone gets this idea that more attributes are gonna come into play. Here is Bort's official announcement: http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=630838

Only thing I see is that wrap up tackling is not as good and your chances of causing a fumble are greatly reduced and acceleration is more a function of agility than speed. No one is sure what causes/prevents penalties except for false starts which have been said to be caused by low vision.

Penalties: offsides and false start, holding, pass interference, facemask. I'm still fiddling with the frequency of them. Vision for O/D line is important to avoiding false start/offsides, among a few other things

There will be several factors that will play in favor of balanced builds.

But how does that make "good builds" get penalized for ignoring other attributes? To my knowledge, the only ones I could see being ignored are things like confidence, vision, and stamina. Until we find out what those attributes are that come into play for penalties, the "good builds" aren't really gonna be penalized. I think it will affect more people that are in the mid teen levels that are still boosting up main attributes as apposed to players our level that are in the mid 20s now and have gotten that stuff up that they ignored.

I agree but I feel we are on a new learning curve.

Yup. An already difficult game to get good in just got a little more difficult. At least it'll keep high leveled players on their toes.

check your email and let's talk about this a little bit, eh

pyka, my bro-in-law, gave his acct to badshot, his neighbor, and dropped himself from our USA BBB team (he had GM powers)
lo and behold he was signed by Dallas Horns.

Yes, his contract was set to expire season 4 day 1
Yes, he had a contract extension offer in hand
Yes, he gave us notice ~ Thursday the 24th during work hours

No, he didn't let discuss wanting to leave prior to Thursday
No, he didn't give us a chance to counter (and/or possibly have one of my sons take over the character)
No, he didn't re-sign his contract so that we could trade him to Dallas Horns as badshot's player and get some value for him - he was only one of our top 2 WRs at a position we only have 3 of now

Why, would we drop a starter to a team in our division - the owner and I both play USA A1 West for TxRoughnecks

Too much drama - probably. IS this just a game- absolutely. Does anyone think integrity matters???

Vent over - Have fun guys, the offseason has obviously been too long.

Pyka has played for us. I'm not too awful worried about him, we know his build has holes or he'd still be here

Since his contract ends on day 1 you only lost out on one day.

And he's not that good anyway. I wanted to sign a WR badly this off-season but both of our Lv 19 guys grade out higher than he does at Lv 22.

true dat - except it was still hinky AND badshot's initial trade to the Dallas Horns was backdoor as well during a time that he had GM powers w/ us in the BBB...

my point is that how you act in a game, just a game, reveals plenty about your character - especially dealing with a team full of friends and family.
End Rant / Part Deaux

Peace Y'all.

BTW - I did want to make clear that I harbor no harsh feelings towards t-money - he just stuck in the middle.

I'm just posting to say that I will deal with this via pm only and I don't want to interfere/inflame any tensions -- particularly where RL relationships are involved -- except to say the following:

Badshot has been good and active teammate since joining us and as such I do feel compelled to stick up for him. Now that I have more information regarding the context of his transfer to the Horns, I must admit that I do feel that he and I could have handled his transfer in a better manner and I, in particular, should have asked a few more questions. For this I apologize.

Nevertheless, I've been assured that Pyka is this actively controlling the WR in question and, short of flying down to cedar park myself, I'm compelled to take the word of a teammate who has not given me a material reason to doubt him to date.

We're just glad you signed a WR that we know a lot about

Maybe we'll let Bock cover him that week and pray to God he takes a route over the middle. . . .
