I'm going to Be busy Saturday so I'll have it out on Sunday if everyone is okay with that. Voting ends tomorrow and I will.

Dammit! C'mon, I know Klaus Störtebeker is good, but I'm beginning to think that outcome might be rigged.

PS- Your players are good enough to be on an all-star team, but not good enough to move up what gives.

Ooooh, burn.

The Nightmares, that`s what!

I reckon they either sold their soul to the devil or got a voodoo curse put on us Marvins for that decisive game, there`s no other explanation for it.

no i hear they have a hacker on their team who hacked the server and tweaked the sim setting, after the game went back and fixed so bort could not find anything wrong.

I'm sorry about the delay guys my office just move locations over the weekend and we have had a bunch of problems with security systems, phone and fax lines, and a lot of other things. Say the least I'm a little stressed getting everything together which has delayed the release.

Sounds Bueno. In the meantime, here is my completely subjective list of Lion All-Stars.

QB: Jonas McNamora- most passing yards in the conference with a 66.1% completion rate and doing it with the second most attempts in the conference.

HB: Juked Ya- 1720 yards (350 more than 2nd place) and 18 TDs (leader had 19)

FB: Tim Riggins- (don't really know what criteria to grade a FB on- and I'm not watching film on them just to vote. That said...) when you want it in the endzone 15 TDs are an incredible stat for a FB.

WR: Matt Forte- at level 18 the hands down best WR last year. Most yards and most TDs (#2 in both categories was a level 22 WR).
Glue fingers- 5th most yards in the conference and 9 TDs and before he boosted (I think at the end of the season he was level 16 or something)

TE: Felix Tovar- (My homer pick, but I think well deserved.) Though TE Aaron Starr had 21 more yards on Tovar, he did it while being one level higher and on a much better team. Tovar averaged 1/3 of the team's total passing yards, by contrast Aaron had only 1/5 of his team's total yards. Tovar also caught 24 more passes than Starr while they both caught 6 TDs.

Don't really know how to evaluate the criteria other than pancakes (not a fan) and sacks allowed. Instead I like these guys because they have great names.
C: Eatem an smile-
LT: Fraggle Rockhead
RT: Bobby Brawler
LG: Big Poppa
RG: Dog Faced Gremlin

Some of the best statistical D-linemen are not represented, but that was mostly because they should have been that good. Chris Cooper and Mankins Ben Jarvus should be on the top of the list because they outleveled the competition most times. Instead I went with some guys that got the job done at lower levels.

DE: Sausage Crevice- 22 Hrys, 2 sacks, 2 TFLs and 56 tackles(!) at level 15

DE: bill "largemouth" bass- didn't quite pressure as much as many other DTs, but with 46 tackes at level 17, that means several plays got stopped close to the line of scrimmage.

DT: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson- 20 Hrys, 3 sacks, 4 TFLs at level 17

DT: Old Man- 23 Hrys, 1 sack, but 15 TFLs at level 17

OLB: Xavier Adibi-93 tackles, 6 hrys, 10 TFLs, 6 PDs, and 3 FFs. Solid LB.

MLB: Quentin Sands- This was the guy you wanted on your team if you wanted to intimidate the other QB. 16 hrys (only 1 sack, hmmmm, not exactly that good, but can always improve), 7 TFLs, 10 PDs, and 2 INTs. For a MLB, he really lived in the backfield.

OLB: Bam Bam Craig- Did it all, TFLs-7, PDs-8, FFs-4, FRs-2, Hrys-2, 95 tackles and only two missed tackles all year and he did all this at only level 16!

CB: Phil Herhole- (not a fan of the name, but proved a commodity on the field) led conference in INTs at 10 and had 38 PDs.

CB: Just Bringit- 58 PDs and 8 INTs, pretty salty

SS: Red Viper- 88 tackles, 2 INTs, 3 FFs, and 21 PDs at level 18.

FS: Paul Hammes- only 46 tackles, but made up for it with 24 PDs and 5 INTs at level 17.

K: Shulkie Walters- only missed one from inside 30 yards and made 10 of 13 from 30-39 and finished the season at only level 13!

P: Lupe` Fiasco- Sav Rocca had a better average, but Lupe was only half a yard behind while giving up 8 levels to him!

KR/PR: D.H. Peligro- Give me someone better. Best PRIMARY return man in the conference. 31.9 KR average and 19.4 PR average with 3 TDs and he did all this at only level 13! That's sick.

Let the argument begin...until Borsdt comes out with his stuff.

I dont get why you mentioned levels as if lower level players performing well makes them more worthy. I dont disagree in particular with any of the picks (I havent had a chance to review them) but it seems silly to make that part of your argument. If the philosophy you used was used in the real Pro Bowl then nobody over 26 would ever make the team..

Since this is not real football I don't see your argument holding water. This is an expansion AA league. If you were to put your analogy into the real world I think it would be more like putting someone like Ladanian Tomlinson in the CFL or Europe League. He is great in the pros so he would kill in those leagues because he SHOULD. He is that much better a player. If he doesn't just put up crazy stats, that team doesn't know how to utilize him properly (Randy Moss in Oakland) or his attributes just don't fit into the team strategy (how Drew Brees was/is great in the short passing/wide open attack of the West Coast offense and would most likely be mediocre in other offenses).
That all said, since this league is like a DIII college, a level 22 guy in this league SHOULD have the most tackles, sacks, catches, yards, TDs, etc. It's not because he is good, it's just because he has better athletic ability (points in his attribute lists).
As per Bort's 'Average Level List' (http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=324473), the average level a player in Africa AA #1 is 12.44 (updated July 3rd). So a player that is closer to that level, but still puts up good numbers in my opinion is a better player (points are better allocated or better utilized by the team) than someone who is supposed to dominate, say level 20+.

PS- Small anecdotes- I played high school basketball and was decent, but I once played a pickup game with some UT bench players, and got completely schooled. I was also a NCAA-caliber swimmer in the breaststroke (best 100m LC was 1:07.73) and once raced world record holder Brendan Hanson and got massacred. Bastard jumped out of the water and stood there with his arms crossed as I touched the wall. If any of you out there have ever played professional players or D1 players you know the difference between 'good' and 'a-completely-nother-level'.

Can't really argue much with your picks felixtovar. The only real players I would change are:

HB - Obviously I’m bias but I have to give some props to VJ/AJ our HB combo and our O-Line, they both rushed for around 1300/1000 yards respectively & VJ returned some Punts and kickoffs to the house. Some of those props would also have to go to Peter Crew our FB even though I also voted for Riggins!

WR - I like "DeSean the one Jackson" & Danny Boy II. forte did have solid all round stats but these are the two guys that stick out in my mind from the past season. Also Forte had a few drops & "the one" stepped up in the playoffs.

DE - Cirque De soliole from (BB) was in my opinion the best DE.

Apart from those I agree with your team, good work man I know it takes a great deal of time to do posts like that but it’s always fun to read!

Galdo if there was a vote for best HB tandem you would probably win. Also guys thanks for voting for Riggins, he is an exciting young man from portugal and it has made his day that a few people like what he has done. this was by far his best season in GLB.
