Tackles show good play reading. 13 INTs (10 without SPO/KIN) show shutdown.

Pretty good. Leen Ween has 14 (12 without SPO/KIN)

What about 11 in 7 games? Ahem...Grey Ramsey...ahem.

So you can have the MVP for those 7 games. The season is 16 games though (14 if you don't count King Donaldt and Sportsrant). Oh, and it's 16 for Leen now (14 if you don't count King Donaldt and Sportsrant).

12 INT for Grey and 14 INT for Leen not counting KIN/SPO. (14-16 counting them)
2 TDs for Grey and 0 TD for Leen not counting KIN/SPO. (3-1 counting them)
1300 PR Yds (18 avg) for Grey and 0 for Leen.

I'd say Grey was "more valuable" overall.

It's 3-2 TD's if you count KIN/SPO, not 3-1.

86 tackles for Leen to 75 for Grey

46 PD's to 35 for Grey

And Grey returns punts. Big deal. In season one I asked to not be one of the returners so I could focus on being a shutdown corner.

You are right 3-2. I went by memory and had 1 stuck there.

Tackles just mean a corner gets thrown at more often. My CB Freon Deion only gets thrown at an about 4-5 times a game (out of 40-60 attempts) because he absolutely shuts down his WRs so his tackle numbers are low.

PDs are a good number but again, if you don't get thrown at a lot you won't have as many.

PR is very relevant. Grey can play a shutdown corner AND be a great punt returner. PR gives your team field position which I think many many people undervalue in this game.

I'd say between a third and a half of my tackles come against the opposing running back on pitches or dump-offs.

I'll have to take your word for it because I am not going back through the play-by-plays. So where are the Madden LBs and SS during these plays? Does Leen get more tackles because the rest of the Madden D isn't that good?

Because our QB and WRs are great, great, great and they aren't afraid to throw at anyone.

As I said numerous times, we gameplanned against the pass slightly more than the run. So our Dime D was on the field more than our 4-3.

I won't deny that. You guys are solid. I'm just saying it depends on the other team's gameplan as well. Leen had only 1 tackle and 3 picks against Choctaw.

Leen is 2nd on the team in tackles. 1st is a LB with 100, 3rd is a DT. On your team a LB leads with 102, 2nd and 3rd on your team in tackles are both CB's. I don't think the amount of tackles the CB's have is a reflection on how good the rest of the D is. I think it reflects good vision on the part of the CB.

but it could also reflect that they're a bad coverage CB if they get passed to all the tiem, and then get the tackles after the catch.

so really, it all depends on the situation

Stop talking about GLB MVP's. I need more divine wisdom from Davitrav30. Since you are the guru on team chemistry and the NBA, I'm trying to lay an advance bet on the 2009 NFL Pro Bowl. Any suggestions?
