So, we beat a team, we hold serve, and they move ahead?????

Thats bullshit

Gonna complain to the admins about this

They need to re-think this, no offense to anyone at all.

In a three-way tie, it is head-to-head between the group. The entire group there is 1-1 against each other. It then goes to points scored. The points against. I am not adding those up.

It gets a lot more fuzzy in the East with 5 teams tied... I did the math and ICP has scored more total then Madden but maybe it is only against the tied teams... idk.

Our record is 3-1 vs. the four other 10-5 teams. If none of the other 10-5 teams is better than 2-2 then that is why we are seeded higher. If another one of the 10-5 teams is also 3-1 then maybe it's head-to-head between those two teams.

Some kind of European Soccer tiebreaker rules I guess. Well, I will learn to live with it, I guess. But I DO NOT LIKE IT AT ALL.

If you beat a team, and you are tied with them, how can you be seeded BEHIND them. Period. I do not care to hear it.

But, alas, this is not the NFL, as I am very quickly learning......

What if the team you beat beat a team you lost to?

Yazoo beat Dallas and lost to LA.
Dallas beat LA and lost to Yazoo.
LA beat Yazoo and lost to Dallas.

Since all teams are 1-1 in the group, how is it possibly for every team that beat a team it is tied w/ to be seeded higher than him. One team has to get the short stick.

What is a fairer way than the way that the have it set up???

Well, apparently, we are using soccer rules here in GLB. So, that's that. I accept it. I am not alone, and I know BORT will eventually have to address this to his US audience, or already has. I no longer care.

So,

It is what it is. All I can say is, score some points, guys.

Cause you can BEAT a team, BUT, they may score more points than you. And you get left behind.

I swear if I ever run into Brian McNamee I am going to bash his head in over this line.

If you read folks responses, you might understand it better...it has nothing to do with "soccer" rules. It's the only way to fairly settle a three way tie. You keep forgetting that's what you're in...a THREE WAY TIE.

BTW: I think (haven't confirmed) that we could have an interesting situation at the top of the Western standings as well.

If:

-Las Vegas loses
-Lincoln wins
-DC wins
-SF wins

We have Lincoln in first, and a three way tie for second. Since LV, DC, and SF would all be 1-1, we'd have the points scored tiebreak as well.

Possibilities are crazy!

No, a three way tie in the NFL is settled by Head to Head first. That's just what I am used to. I will get used to this...I see your point, but it is solved by the sports I am used to by having more than 1 head to head game. Usually 2 or more. My brain hurts now...

And he is using European Football rules, check it out if you do not believe me, lol

Also, the NFL has smaller divisions, and Division Champions. 5 teams a piece, or less. Quite a logical formula, actually.

Maybe he should try Divisions within the Conferences?

Dude. Yours is being settled by head-to-head first. The issue is that each of the three teams is 1-1 against the other two, meaning what? YOU ARE ALL STILL TIED! That is why it then goes to points scored.

Thus the conundrum. I see all the points, and frankly, I am done. I know what I have to do now, and I will do it.

I was actually wondering why we were ahead of you also. I thought it would've been You, us, then Yazoo. Not the opposite. Although like they said, no matter what order we're in somebody would have beat a team ranked above them.
