I had to jump in when I read the Liberal Arts thing. I had been having a pleasant day of beers,pizza and Madden with some friends and ignoring you wanks but the liberal arts thing is taking it too far. My piss could get a PhD in Liberal Arts. My brain however will be getting one in Chemistry - Applied and Engineering. You know the sort of thing that means Ill be retired by 40 and stuff.

As for the age thing? An average 16 year old European has more life experience than an average 30 year old American. Seriously doesnt start at MSG and end at the Staples Centre. There is a big bad world out there where maturity is acheived much much earlier(for common sense Ill add that yes if youre a vet youve lived more than I ever will and you have my total respect for what you do). I can confidently state that most people my age have lived more than a lot of my relatives in the States twice my age. And those are well educated people.

Thing is Im not an idiot and I do know better. The only struggle I guess I might have is switching my brain off enough to ever operate at the level yours does. Anyway back to owning people at Madden. That and being better than you.

Young people are always think they are more mature then they really are. They always have a great excuse about how they are more mature than the average 21 year old. They are very rarely correct.

Then I guess this is one of those rare times then! Because the thing is its not opinion. Americans mature at a much slower rate than most of the rest of the world because youre all so fucking insular. Football for fucksake is the biggest sport in the world. What do Americans do? They change the name to the blasphemous "S" word and show the World Cup final on ESPN 8 "THE OCHO!". Thats just a really quick example. So yeah Id bet a substantial amount on the average European in his early 20s having seen as much and experienced as much as a Yank 10-15 years older than him.

As for the engineers thing. The good ones do (except the ones who actually enjoy working - idiots). Im not good at what I do. Im fucking outstanding. Hell Im beyond outstanding.

You know for someone whos older and so all knowing it must feel kind of rough to get your shit ruined by someone who doesnt know better. All that cash youre saving by not paying for a competitive team might help you feel happy though. Probably not but its worth a try. Good luck on hitting .500 next year though!

And Porch did make a good point and you don't see it now because none of us did, but a 21 year old male knows very little even when we thought we knew it all. Not being a wise ass just speaking from experience, at 21 I thought I had it all figured out as did most of my peers, wow were we in for a shock, in 10 years you will look back on 21 and say to yoursefl "I was an idiot."

Not sure about your field but I know more engineers over 40 than under.

Not sure why you can't read but I choose to field a team with people I knew. I knew they were just starting the game. Having fun was more my goal than being 15-1. I know it is hard concept to understand.

The league balance because it is a first year league was completely out of balance. We have everything from very experienced to beginner teams in the same league. Eventually that will level out and then we can determine who is better. All we determined this year is that most of the people on your team started playing a few weeks before most of the people on my team.

I am amazed at people who have teams that are levels ahead of everyone else and then brag about your record. I would be much more impressed if you were levels lower than everyone else and kicking ass.

This doesn't exist in any mmo I have ever seen to date. Maybe with the advanced AI it could be possible.

The only time you really see it now in GLB is if a team of higher levels just has ridiculously terrible builds.

I would agree. This is why I find it funny when people talk about how great a player is. Basically the great players were just created earlier.

Uh no we haven't.

The problem with the spreadsheet is we don't have the same players now as we did in the first 5 or so weeks. We upgraded at several positions which wouldn't show up on the spreadsheet.

Also the spreadsheet doesn't account for the fact that our team is leveling and improving faster than others team because we were lower.

Those two items mean we are a better team than the spreadsheet thinks.

In other words the spread sheet just hates us.
