A fifth of the season in and passing + pass blocking still sucks. Not seeing much improvement for fast/shifty receivers either, just drops being labeled as due to defensive pressure. Helps keep the drop numbers down for sure, but completion percentages are in the toilet.

Even the “fix your builds, I’m good” users QBs have hit the wall - and fast. Whatever changes were made were only beneficial to TEs. If that; even they’re a bit underwhelming so far.

pickups have changed massively, Also this is a just not true

https://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/918728/446041 Plays like this were so rare they may have been non-existent and now they can just happen and we are seeing multiple per game. not all of long touchdowns but catching in stride has massively improved. Screens in particular look so much smoother than last season. the short passing game looks much closer to actual football.

https://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/918700/447151?player_id=376675 <<< This is your own game and your own player. this type of thing was a couple times a season event. a catch in stride leading throw.

The boost to deflections didn't just hit defensive lines, but all players, and it's nerfed short/medium passes quite a bit. Long pass look better than ever, but overall yeah passing looks worse.

Crossing routes look better short so it's not just all short/med. Hooks and slants do look worse overall though.

I think the targeting change really helped with crossing, definitely. If the deflection range boost was pulled back then things like running a West Coast offense would actually be viable now.

I disagree; any look at Deadman’s past QB’s & receiver will show the same level highlights. Interceptions are down because overthrows and bad throws are more prevalent. Leads being more frequent doesn’t mean it’s changed the complexity of the pass game.

If anything, that’s a weak lead. The receiver has to slow down and adjust to the ball instead of catching it in the stride he was in off the initial separation.

In routes and HB routes are far better with the leading as well. Throwing across the middle though is just too inconsistent though. Power seems to be working counterintuitively to accuracy & tech, and the diving/jump radius of receivers is fairly inconsistent as well. Passing just feels clunkier, while blocking is of course expensive as hell compared to pass rush.

QBs do seem to struggle with accuracy even with high values in accuracy - until their morale gets high and then they start throwing dimes with 59.

It's still a bit weighty on that, for my tastes, and the overthrows do seem bad this season - but overall the general direction of movement is good - I've seen my 46 sprint CB actually get beat deep for the first time in his career, instead of just losing a roll on a toss up play. It's exciting knowing the meta has to change now and my anti-possession receiver builds won't just shut down everything like they used to.

It took a couple games to figure out a playbook but my rookie team doesn’t appear to be doing terrible with passing. % definitely isn’t great but I never expect it to be in rookie. Hard Cuts into the middle definitely have seen accuracy lacking pretty bad. However have seen good “big” play gains as well. Of course all of it can be accounted to just being early rookie as well. Does seem like speed WR/TEs can do big things In the coming seasons though.

33.9% is bad, even for rookie; especially for a pass oriented team.

56 quick and balance help, If I'd gotten 65 balance as I planned he might be alright still, but the cracks are showing and hes getting beat on speed more than deep so :/

Tbf I did say it wasn’t great. also though he’s putting up almost 100 attempts a game so even with his % he’s getting 500 yards after I started figuring out playbook some.

I'm not sure we should be tweaking too much right now deflection range maybe in a bit comes back a little.

The big thing is wait for builds to adjust ...right now the deep route is the way to go. People will add speed to corners and safeties.

That's a good thing those points have to come out of somewhere and that may fix one of the biggest GLB2 "sins" around turning every CB and SAfety into Ronnie Lott and Steve Atwater on steroids. IF those guys get roasted enough they'll adjust.

That would also likely open up power backs.

Now I'm sure some tweaks need to be made but its good to see the game go in a football direction instead of hey lets shift to the next weird thing. As long as its consistently headed in that direction (as opposed to wonk) I'm happy even if my safties are being roasted like a smokehouse in the interim.

Yep….the biggest issue this game has had….since Rob dominated, was the deep pass has been non existent. Rob use to destroy teams by throwing bombs. Then it got nerfed to oblivion and hasn’t been back since…..now.
