Dragon League Week 3 Recap

The Program @ Miola Maulers
The Program won 51-10.
QB Joe Kane completed 53% of his passes for 370 yards and 3 TDs to S* WR Julian Edelman, TE Kach Twentytwo, and S* HB Darnell Jefferson.
S* TE Rob Gronkowski and S* WR Julian Edelman led receivers with 101 and 119 yards each.
S* HB Darnell Jefferson had 216 yards rushing and 3 TDs on 33 carries.

The lone Mauler TD came off of a 7-yard TD pass from QB Linc Vera to FB Chaz Matthews.

House Party @ Cornhuskers
Nebraska 41 HP 35
HP’s slow start cost them the game as Nebraska outscored HP 31-0 in the first half.
There was a whole lot of scoring in this one so here we go.
S* HB Cory Ross was the MVP scoring all 5 of Nebraska’s TDs. Ross ran for 401 yards and 4 TDs, he also had 107 yards receiving and a TD.
QB Eric Crouch quietly completed 17 of 17 passes for 134 yards.

QB Shiva was the man of the match for HP. Shiva completed 45% of his 66 passing attempts for 441 yards and all 5 HP TDs (TE Ironman, S* TE
Super Polly Grip, WR Agerm73, S* WR Zilla x2)
S* WR Zilla led receivers with 142 yards receiving.

CPU San Diego Flames @ Knoxville Outlaws
Knoxville picked up their first league win 30-0 over the Flames.
The Outlaws' balanced attack (37 passes, 37 rushes) and stingy defense were too much for the Flames.
QB Joe Cool completed 43% of his passes for 262 yards and 2 TDs. (TE Kegan Nunn, WR Cupp Cooper)
HB Zane Insane had both of Knoxville’s rushing TDs.

Obscure References @ Grape Apes
The Ape’s proved to be too much for OR to overcome. Do not fear OR, many others have suffered the same result versus the Apes.
For the Apes…
S* HB Slombo#5 ran for 270 yards and 3 TDs. He also returned a kickoff for an 88-yard TD.
WR Slungto Solacesta had 124 yards receiving and a TD.
K Leggo added 4 FGs

For OR…
QB Randal Graves threw for 199 yards and 2 TDs finding Emile the fat rat and Tomax Paoli in the endzone.

BABBs @ MV Snow Leopards
This game was as good as I said it would be. BABBs 14-point fourth quarter helped them come back from an early 14-point deficit to win 28-27.
BABBS scoring…
WR Curry Troop-Smith and TE Theodore Denson each had receiving TDs
HBs BABBs Malone and DeMarcus Lamberg each contributed a rushing TD.

Snow Leopards scoring…
3 TD Passes from QB Vail La Croix to WR Crowly Cross and WR Zero Sangrey x 2.

SRDM4M @ Texas Magnums
SRDM4M grossly underestimated the Magnums and it damn near cost them the game.
Coach/Owner agerm73 was seen flipping tables and kicking gear around the locker room in a fit of rage. Yelling, “God Dammit! We are better than this! Uninspired. We played with little heart. We better get our stuff together fast or we with be running sprints the whole damn practice”

Great write up.
We are off to a tough, but good news. Competitive league gives us a fighting chance still.

Dragon League Week 4 Match-ups

BABBs @ Miola Maulers
It is games like this where I would like to see the devs make an effort to have different leagues for experienced coaches and S* teams vs all CPU teams or unboosted teams. The learning curve in this game is pretty steep, even with some Vets doing their best to bring the new players along. It has to be disheartening to continually be taken behind the woodshed and thrashed. Although, I had the same experience as a new player at the hands of veteran coaches like Rob, OSIRIS, dredger, Detroit Leo, and Myrick. Instead of giving up, I did my homework and I asked questions of those same guys and that is how I got to this level.
Anyways, this is going to be another rough one for Miola with an all CPU roster, no high contracts, and a rather inexperienced coach against the BABB powerhouse.

MV Snow Leopards @ House Party
I would like to see HP start a win streak but I think they will lose a close one to the Snow Leopards. MV has the #2 offense in the league and at the moment, HP’s defense is ranked #9. Too much partying me thinks. Time to buckle down HP.

Knoxville Outlaws @ Nebraska
The Cornhuskers came to play last week. If Nebraska puts together a game plan like they did last week then they could turn the corner from their rather inauspicious start to the season.

Obscure References @ The Program
OR is a quality team, but The Program has been on a roll, their only loss so far this season was to the Pro Amber Heards team. That being said, Coach/Owner AGerm73 will continue to gameplan because anything can happen on Any Given Sunday.

Grape Apes @ Texas Magnums
I have no doubt that the Apes will not struggle with the Magnums like SRDM4M did last week. I predict that S* HB Slombo #5 and the Ape defense will have another big week

CPU Sand Diego Flames @ SRDM4M
SRDM4M should win this one easily, BUT I said that last week and they barely escaped the Magnums. If SRDM4M does not win, then one thing is for sure…heads will roll.

Doubt the quality of our House Party at your own peril! We're down, but we ain't out. We'd love to see that win streak start as well.

Dragon League Week 4 Results

BABBs @ Miola Maulers
Wow, in an unexpected event, BABBs still won but by a slim margin 8-0. Way to play Maulers. You were up against an insurmountable task and almost accomplished the “impossible”
The Maulers held BABBs to a safety and 2 FGs. Keep BABBs out of the endzone is certainly a feather in your cap!

MV Snow Leopards @ House Party
HP proved me wrong with a 13-7 victory over the Snow Leopards. HP is showing signs of returning to their previous form while the Snow Leopards have lost two TOUGH ones in a row.
Here is HP’s lone TD… https://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/866859/380354
Here is MV’s lone TD… https://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/866859/381997
The difference in the game was 2 FGs from HP K Ruxin Ruxin

Knoxville Outlaws @ Nebraska
The Cornhuskers came to play again this week beating the Outlaws 27-0.
Three S* HB Cory Ross TD runs and two Josh Brown FG were more than enough as dlcurt’s defense pitched a shutout.
For those of you that did not see it, here was Ross’ longest TD run, it was a beaut.

Obscure References @ The Program
Our sincerest apologies to OR and their fans. We were playing for the win and did not intend for it to get so out of hand. Hang in there, you are a relatively new coach/owner. I certainly took my lumps in the beginning. Please reach out to me if I can help in any way.
Two of my favorite plays of the game… https://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/866860/382205

Grape Apes @ Texas Magnums
Of course, those damn Apes have to out perform my Program by taking advantage of the inactive Magnums 76-0. Too many scores to post so I will pick a couple to share with you for your viewing pleasure.

S* HB Slombo#5 MVP watch. Slombo#5 ran for 7 TDs and only 390 yards
plus 1 receiving TD.

CPU San Diego Flames @ SRDM4M
In the soap opera that is SRDM4 the Screaming Red Devil Mercs for Money beat the CPU Flames 3-0. Coach/Owner AGerm73 gave the Red Devil defense credit for the shutout and the win but he was not impressed with the team’s lack of offense for a second week in a row.
