Depends which side of the fan you're on. That's a pretty big influence on how fun it is.

well im just gonna stop playing.. unless its a CPU team i dont even have a chance of scoring. its too bad leagues arent made up according to coaches experience in this game.. so im not playing against veterans with 50+ seasons of experience or the game doesnt put me up against professional level teams where i have no hope in hell of even scoring or getting 1 player with decent stats. you guys can offer any and all the help you want. it's not going to happen. only time i scored was against a CPU team week one.. since then.. 0 points for.... 18452345196859875234 points against. what a great realistic simulator

Your Journeyman team just played a very good Pro team. Of course you are gonna get killed.

Ladder games at this level are tough, honestly I rarely even go ladders for different reasons. If you wanna do some coaching stuff let me know and I’ll attempt to help you win some games. But I’m middle of the road at best

best part of journeyman is playing against a team with a significant SP advantage for 16 out of 30 games. But its to provide a "more competitive" experience. Honestly if you want to have more fun and save some money just play rookie/sophomore ball then reset. Don't boost any players of course as boosts are expensive and mostly unnecessary anyway especially if your resetting every 2 seasons. Like GLB2 is firmly in the pay for advantage category and very close to pay to win. But its also VERY RANDOM so its not particularly unique to the genre. It's actually uninspiring at best as far as that goes. HOWEVER with a pretty minimal investment you can get a very similar slightly less competitive for a very long time which is pretty unique.

you could totally run two teams one at rookie and one at sophomore that might be pretty cool to have a constant cycle of players and builds and things to try

Those are about the only options. You either play against CPU or experienced owners. There's not a vast amount of new team owners that we are refusing to put you against out of some kind of malice. At best there's one or two new owners at every tier, and I don't think it would make anyone happy if you just played the same team 30 times a season.

You could just take it a bit slower. Get some players on resetting teams, learn from the more experienced agents. Team boards can be a goldmine of information. Then use what you learn to build a team of your own.

I've had loads of guidance from some of the vets despite the fact that 1. I don't really have ambitions of owning a team 2. I'm a complete idiot. Even with those two facts, people are more than happy to give advice and share their knowledge and experience.

I'm sorry you feel this way.

There are two separate issues here though.

The First is that your team played up a Tier. In any game that has "experience (in game)", you're always outclassed when there is an experience point difference. You lost and were expected to lose, so does the score really matter? I've been blown out in those situations.

The Second is that there are a lot of coaches with "experience (out of the game)". Unless you play a PvP game the day it's launched and play more than anyone else in the universe, you'll always come across players with more familiarity with the game.

It's all about perspective.

If you enjoy Football, this is the best PvP MMO-type game around.

If you keep playing, you'll get better.
If you take a methodical, disciplined approach to learning the game, you'll get a lot better.

In the end, that's a you question. But there are plenty of people here who will help.

Even the ones who beat you today. They'll help you beat them tomorrow.

What could be better than that?

Yeah I would recommend just taking a chill pill and just jump on some other teams/relax while you get things figured out. Owning a team is some tough shit and by far the most involved aspect of the game in terms of commitment.
