Jackie Kyle is a combo back.

His stats aren't as great since he's started to play more of a reserve role while Leo is now the primary ball handler, but dude's raw imo

70+ power can't even break many tackles at rookie/sophomore level. Seems like a bad choice.

Wasn't messi the npw back? Thought he was a full on elusive?

Whatever he was, he would laterally spin through my defense.

Messi wasn't a combo back, just elusive. Jeter was a 100/100/100 powerback if I'm correct

BrkTcks are more about momentum. Highlight wasn't close to 70 power but broke a third of his tackles. Couple with high elusive Juke/Stiff its very effective, though still not as good as a powerback for pure rushing.

This close minded thinking may be why we always get people who are butt hurt by nerfs and buffs.

People are too busy worrying about what the meta is and sticking to what "works". Maybe if you guys branched out and at least tried things there'd be more variety in the game.

And I dare someone to say the game is "diverse" because it really isn't. Not when most teams are running the same build types (power/elusive HBs, speed/possession WRs, receiving TE, etc.) and bitching when needed changes are implemented because "it'll just be easier to do this or do that".

The Galactic Empire will be making a S* HB for Academy next season. He will not be a "meta" build.

Genesis is going a different direction with our S* HB build for our reset as well. And I'm genuinely looking forward to it because it'll be great to see a non-meta build kicking endless ass.

Well not really. The whole problem with the changes is that they penalize teams that try something different from the powerback meta. We did have nice diversity of teams last season.

Just make sure he's not a "Drago" build.

Between that and conditioning it is near impossible to make them a quick runner.

With the INT changes I have a feeling that we will see power running improve in 2 or 3 seasons.

We really didn't. I can't even say there was slot of play diversity either.

Of course towards the top it's gonna seem like there was a lot diversity but in essence, there's just a shit load of S* players on the field which allows you to diversify a build more. Diverse builds doesn't mean a team is diverse.

And second of all that's just bullshit. People go back to the power build meta because it's the easiest thing for them. Always a nice little safety blanket.

And it's worth noting that people believe having 100s in those few categories is the only powerback build. As far PR/Con/Sprint goes, Leo is only rocking 97/89/90 (this will be his first season handling mostly all the carries and he's doing great so far). He has a good amount of points into toughness, carrying awareness, quickness, balance, and then there's points in all the receiving skills. He's starting to see more reps in the passing game and he's doing well.
