With that said I posted that three weeks ago and after seeing his numbers this season I might have to re-evaluate...

Maybe it's that Heart? I haven't seen broken tackle numbers like that in a while...maybe it's having no balance so he breaks the tackle faster? Idk.

Its partially the CPU opponents

Partially the really slow speed, so he has to keep breaking tackles over and over

I'd say its probably a lot of teams wont have the required tackle skills which often get built up in pro when powerbacks usually hit the ground running, but you've invested in it heavy, early, so most teams dont have the tackling ability required

He's had some bad games against the CPU. Surprisingly.

While defenders tackling should be increasing, I'm now working on his Sprinting. Pro should be interesting.

I am amazed at his BRKT ratio to Total Touches given his 15 Balance.

It has been VERY enlightening.

That was an eye turner for me too. I use to put a bunch of balance in my power backs...not anymore.

On the flip side of toughness, how important is intimidation? It is the anti-tougness skill. I notice you have zero investment in it, but doesn't it reduce the energy and morale of the tackler?

yeah, I mean if you're maxing out strength and confidence on the initial build your intim cap will already be bonkers and it'll be cheap relative to most other builds, might as well just go for it right? But then at the same time you'd have to sacrifice speed to get intim up to a respectable level and is that really worth it?

Probably specifically it is power tackling and the extra SA's. Not a lot of teams heavily invest in power tackling and toughness till later on which seems to be the biggest stoppage to the power running game along with brick wall.

Watching Garbage Truck against tosche station I'm not sure sprinting is going to help much for production (at fb). But I guess considering he's only journeyman right now and you have essentially maxed out everything but intimidation you won't have much option but to eventually hit sprinting and quickness?

Every test of Intimidation has shown it to be worthless so I'm not going that route. At least on this run through.

Sprinting will help but probably won't change game outcomes.

Yeah only Sprinting/Quickness/Footwork left (which means pretty much all Sprinting) and no Intim. He doesn't change direction much being a Power back so I'm not sure how much Quick/Foot he really needs. That leaves Sprinting. He caps at 94 but I think I can only really get him to 88 or so based on choices I've already made.

I'm going to wait until Vet before I comment too much on FB plays but the basic problem seems to be that the HB pathing as a blocker is really bad. Could be my build though so it's too early to say.

Biggest Issue with Garbage Truck is the lack of Stiff-Arm. Especially on those 2WR outside runs where it would be beast-mode. Would have also capped his elusive and give gold Juke too since that's really effective for inside runs. He basically has to try and power-through his way to the endzone and that won't cut it on the high tiers.

I'd think a nominal amount of footwork/quick to help when he breaks tackles would beneficial.

Well, I mean, I've been floating around 40-50 for PBs because logic. We all know where that train of thought gets you in this game. It looks like balance is only good for linemen. WRs can be successful without it aside from screens. Am I missing anything?

I know you cats think I'm crazy but I remember a GLB god stating that balance helps DBs turn around faster, along with footwork
