Now, I'm not sure there has been a game that has upset me more than today's game did. When my priorities are set up to mainly run inside and run left. I would assume that it would do that, but up until the end of the game it was running right. Then in the passing game, I have it set up to primarily utilize TE Lead and TE Post, I could be wrong, but I didn't see those really fire until the end of the game as well. Defensively, we just didn't do what I had hoped, gave up another huge run on a bad timed call. Then right afterwards, we fumbled and gave in right back to them just outside of the redzone. We were instantly fighting for our lives.

GG Barbarians! Good Game

GG

Defensively I don't really think you can have any complaints: you were calling a lot of 'stuff-the-middle' type plays on 1st down (e.g. Middle Overload, Man LB Dogs, Storm Brave etc.) so the risk of giving up a big outside run is always going to be there - if anything you're lucky I toned down outside run as much as I did (needless to say wasn't quite anticipating that) because if we had gone with our normal % that scoreline could have been a lot worse. But good game all the same.

Defensively nope. I ran those plays cause I was predicting you to run the middle so much in those situations.

You say you could of scored more if wasn't changed??? You realize that could be said by almost anyone in any game.

That's my point actually: the 'what if' scenarios work for both teams - you feel tactics matrix screwed you over (which tbh I find a little insulting but we'll leave that to the side) whereas personally I think it was more the defensive playcalling which lost you the game.

Take it how you will, but either way I don't think you can feel too hard done by the result - it was a gambler's strategy and ultimately the gamble didn't pay off (although to give credit where credit is due it was working for the most part, just the one time we call an outside run on 1st down have to accept you're going to be giving some yards).

I can see both points of view.. worldwide mafia maybe had too much of a one dimensional defense, stifling inside rush as much as possible and maybe got caught out by variety in some forms of barbarians. So defensively needed a little more change up, and should enjoy some more tactical battles in the future between both teams, it's just rookie after all well played to both teams

O, now I don't mean to sound like I'm trying to take credit away from you. What I'm meaning is only offensively.

Defense, I put that game plan in knowing it could go horribly wrong. Thankfully it didn't.

Offense is where I was upset with my rolls, but I know it goes by chance. It's not the loss that upsets me, those are going to happen, especially while facing quality opponents. I'm only speaking about how much low priority plans were ran, instead of others. Example: for the first half, we primarily ran it right. The settings were primarily set to inside run and priority settings on the outside run, was towards specific left side runs. I know I'm not the only, first, or last person it happened to.

Overall nothing away from your game plan, it worked, you won. Congratulations on a good win, looking forward to more opportunities hopefully.

Real good game.

Glasgow Barbarians have yet again taken down another quality opponent! The Barbarians are proving to be a top team in The Rookie Tier. Some real big matchups are coming still today, who is going to continue to show dominance and who is going to start falling out of the top big dawgs?
