Something seems to have happened last season. It was not a very popular or successful play in season 12, suddenly the defense is completely fooled and everyone is jumping on the exploit. OSMB should be beat by the play, probably not for 14+ypc.

Season 12 it was run just 84 times for 2.86 ypc and 11.90 big play %.

Season 13 it was 845 for 12.48 ypc and 49.82 big play %.

Season 14 after just 8 games it has been run 684 already for 12.08 ypc and big play % of 48.25.

The book has pretty much been thrown at it and nothing is really working that well, unless you completely disregard the game's toughest pass plays. I understand some of you have a dog in the fight so you're not interested in facts.

I would just like to see it toned down a hair because it is pretty darn cheesy.

- Updated/fixed many outside rush plays to use a different more realistic blocking scheme, since many of them cleared out a whole side of the line and tended to let defenders through too easily. More now include opposite side pulling guards
- Added some new logic and fixed pulling/lead blocking paths on many pitch plays to make sure players head outside along the paths they are supposed to follow better
- Fixed some issues with pulling blockers not picking up blocking targets properly depending on where they were standing
- Fixed some issues with chipping while pulling so it should be more reliably triggered when in range
- Pulling players now make a power roll to have a chance to stun a defender they chip for an extra tick in addition to the normal slow down

If we isolate Trips Counter Right I say yes it needs adjustment, if we lump other counters into the equation I disagree, those other counters are not OP.

if we isolate trips i say passing needs adjustments, not the counter. also still think part of it is poor anti run build lbs being used.

So, you want Counters nerfed so you can continue to spam OWMB because otherwise your pass defense sucks? As far as that play that I claimed "works" it did the following for you today.

Held all outside rushes at 5.1 YPC with a 44% TFL loss rate. Biggest gain it gave up was 20 yards. That play also held DA to a 50% completion rate, too bad you didn't run more plays that I claimed "works" because everything you ran was terrible.

What the fuck is up your ass?

I only spam OWMB against teams that only spam passes out of the 3WR set. We have major chemistry issues. New QB, new HB, all new LBs, all new safeties. Don't see why you are taking cheap shots or what I have ever done to you. I didn't go and insult DA after we beat them last season when they had chemistry issues.

Don't get pissed because your entire argument blew up in your face hours after you posted it. You ran OWMB 700+ times last season, the next highest defensive play was ZEB at 400+ so you can drop the I only run it against certain teams BS. You are having to actually gameplan now or get torched and you don't like it.

it's just amazing watching replays how dumb defenders look when counters are called... I've seen safeties and LBs doing an all-out sprint toward the RB after the counter, only to randomly stop and have the RB go right around them.

Angles defenders are taking are ridiculous too, causing more mistackles than I've seen in a long time.... I have 80+ tackle tech/power run stopping specialists that are having almost as many tackles as mistackles. I shouldn't have to build a 95+ tackle tech/power tackle guy just to make consistent tackles. There's more to it than builds going on here...

It's pretty amazing the GLB2 running game AI has regressed back to how it looked and played back in like Season 5. Watch games right now, and compare it to how counters looked back when romo ran them all the time... defenders are dumb as ever against the run.

Well when I'm scouting the 3WR set the last couple seasons and I saw over and over 427pass/38run I had to make the hard decision of playing the pass. I had a S* LB running a 4.29 built as blitz only why wouldn't I use him? Offense dictates what defense I call, so who's really the one spamming?
