Also have to decide what makes a good coach. Does designing a team to run 5 great plays make you a great coach, or is are you just great at exploiting what you already know works? Does winning gold trophies in a weak league make you a great coach or does competition factor into whos great? GE may not be a great coach, but he coaches outside the box so its harder to evaluate what he does with his zones against the guy who runs a safe zeb and overwill based man defense(as bad as zones seem to be GE may be a genius just to get what he does out of them). Xars is a brilliant coach, but Logzilla's offense clearly exploits the plays we all know work the best and are hardest to consistently stop. I could go down the list and I dont mean to single anyone out, but my point is as has been said by many others there are no real good ways to evaluate whos better than who. To me the most reputable is this thread where it is evaluated by our peers who we feel is best. https://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/forum/thread/5240401

You're arguing that "great coach" should not be tied to wins, losses and trophies?

I agree with you that in the game of life, there is a lot more going on than wins and losses.
I also agree that in real life coaches can have a tremendous impact on the lives of kids, leaving a lasting legacy regardless of wins and losses.

But here we are talking about a video game where yes, you are judged and ranked according to your wins, losses and gold trophies.

Maybe I'm all alone in that opinion.

Beyond that though; looking at the top 10 from your "most reputable thread" against my stuff here, the top 5 or 10 is almost exactly the same just shuffled up a bit.

Random question: were you responsible for the lone vote you got?

No, your only evaluating by trophies, your ignoring wins and losses......

No, funny thing is I dont care if Im included, I have confidence in what I am. Im a good coach who struggles with consistency, not great yet(if I ever reach that plateau) More importantly I have no issues finding good teams that desire my coaching. I am just playing the Devils advocate in order to open eyes to the fact that there are many coaches who know their shit who dont have trophies.

Just curious if anyone has a better percentage. Minimum 100 wins.

And yes I know that the rest of this thread is only comparing owner records.

ive looked around before this thread and Fair has the best winning record I've seen. Very impressive.

league trophies have to do a lot with luck of the draw too... there are a TON of teams with league trophies that were mediocre at best. Ladder trophies mean MUCH more than league trophies. In many cases a 3rd place or 4th place ladder trophy > league championship.

In vet this season the 3rd or 4th best Hydrogen team is arguably better than the best Diamond or Velociraptor team.

Madison has been in the toughest in-tier league by ave rank in GLB2 since season 2 (clearly a bad luck of the draw when there are at least 3 leagues per tier every season)... a big reason why we only have a few league trophies
