There's a reason why many passing teams have to limit our playbooks. Sooo many plays just don't work all that well. Just bad routes and progressions I guess. Flood Left and HB Wheel were your two most popular plays and they performed poorly. Probably can add them to the long list of bad passing plays.

HB Wheel - only 2 WRs go deeper than 5 yards. YPA for Vet is 4.14 and YPC is 7.42

Flood Left - only 2 WRs go deeper than 5 yards. YPA for Vet is 4.11 and YPC is 8.01

Both require HB release to become the third option past 5 yards.

They aren't bad plays, but they can certainly be bad play calls in certain situations. On 3rd and 8, over half of the catches won't get you a First Down. Never mind the attempts.

Now look at WR Cross, a play I run but isn't a "popular" play (I've run it 374 times out of 862 at Vet or 43% of all play calls). All 4 WRs go straight to and past 10 yards. YPA for Vet is 6.26 and YPC is 12.97. Even on 3rd and 10, well over half (probably 70-80%+) of the catches will get a First Down.

Something that gets missed is how many First Downs Belgarion has. 309 on 427 catches. That's 72% of catches.

WR1 has single outside coverage. Your Pass velocity is too slow to beat the FS on the double team. It's a 25 yard throw at that point.

Second play - situation 3rd and 8: Stop it at Tick 35.5. Same as above basically.

Third play - situation 3rd and 6: Stop it at Tick 33.5. Same as above. CB3 and the MLB are also close enough to WR2 that you could say you are quad-teamed here.

The sim doesn't run in half ticks, so chop those off to a half tick earlier.

OK...Even tho I do believe you have some weird understandings of the game I do think that you are a well educated person. As such, you should know that one game proves anything, lol. You came here a few weeks back and cried that your so called "perfect anti-blitz O" is so weak against the blitz and you asked CD to tell you why. Now you beat the blitz and suddenly you think that proves you right? Uhm, sorry, but no. Even tho I dont say/think you are wrong, its ridiculous how you act now. You are not any better to Gali who spammed the forum over and over and over telling you that Pass Awareness is the nonplusultra. He even said to be succesfull in rookie, you had to pump it to 40 straight away.

You both had points as you were both having success with your builds. Yet, no one of you knows what exactly causes the success, nor what causes miserable fails from time to time.

So stop acting like a douche here.

Nice win btw!

I wasn't crying. You don't know how to read. You don't know the emotion I had when I wrote my post. I was taunting. I wasn't upset/complaining. I threw for over 700 yards. That I also threw 5 picks is (hopefully) just a RNG event against me. Can't know for sure because I don't know PA builds.

So stop thinking you know everything. Games like that happen. I was using it to elicit a comment from CDog.

I even went further to say (in my next post):

Even though it was against me, at least this looked like an INT in an NFL game where you know the defender is gone for a TD. Sucked, but was a thing of beauty.

(Side note: Cdog - thanks for clearing up the half-ticks.)

Galithor may have thought PA worked against the blitz. That was seasons ago. Cleveland was what a S2 player? Belgarath is S6. I think I've clearly shown that it's not PA that matters.

I'm not the douche.

I run open builds, an open system and have clearly shared my thoughts with everyone involved in this game through my posts.

When was the last time you opened all your player builds on a team for 6 seasons, ran a consistent playbook from game to game (that's also available via quick scrim) and explained your theories (builds, playbook, strats and tactics) behind every decision you've made in an effort to help others while being #1/Top team in the Ladder?

Yeah thought so.

My own opinion on pass awareness has changed over the seasons. I wrote a tl;dr diatribe on my current PA thoughts a couple weeks ago.

I don't think Pocket Awareness and Footwork are the reason Belgarath avoided the blitz here though. Perhaps they did contribute, but I feel like Cleveland would've been eaten alive by the modern blitz from FSM. Cleveland had more footwork and Pocket Awareness than does Belgerath. Belgerath has stronger morale skills and consistency than Cleveland did. It's highly probable that Cleveland's 51 consistency was the main thing holding back his build. My biggest complaint with him was the missed longer throws that he'd air mail seemingly 4-8 times per game. It's as if he wasn't consistent.

The original AR Oline that I built might have been pretty good at limiting the blitzes possibly. I took on other O-linemen later in Air Raid's veteran run to retire some of my guys for flex. The new guys had higher primaries, but lower mobility/secondaries. It made us noticeably more vulnerable to the blitzes.

Not rly. The last paragraph is bull anyway. Its always OK and even good to share thoughts about builds and give newbies an idea of the game. I dont do that in public forum, no problem admitting that. I do that a lot with new agents coming directly at me (ask fairforever). But whatever you do, I dont think saying nothing is any better than calling "guesses" "facts" in public forum. Cause it is not more than a guess.

in short: share ideas/thoughts: great. Pretending you figured out the code: bad.

just in the last four days.....

Madison beats Logzilla who beats FSM who beats Madison

maybe we still have a shot at #1... someone needs to beat Richmond, and we'd have to beat DA
