Nope. A thorough beatdown. Cue Tdiddy in about 10 minutes.

Ouch. Their TE's caught 19 of 23 targets.

Heavy blitzing = single coverage on a TE = epic failure.

The only Vet team that should be blitzing a Passing team is FSM.

Well, you're right. Pleasantly surprised is more like it. I honestly thought we'd both score in the 20's. Something like 28-20 GA over FSM, and both teams would have at least 2 long touchdowns. Instead it was a defensive battle.

Example #678 why rushing is @#$%

FSM is the best at it, but there are a group of other teams behind them with a decent enough pass rush to make it work.

I will occasionally blitz a pure passing team, but it really depends on their scheme.

Pretty insane how much better FSM's run defense got this season. That was chopped meat in all previous seasons. Nicely done Absolut

I'd argue you blitz every single down. Conventionally a blitz is considered more than 4 going after the QB.

I added a Pro run stuffing DE. That's helped a lot. Last season you pancaked my 3 DE's 22 times (2 of those DE's are basically just pass rushers). This game you pancaked my DE's 0 times. Helped keep my linebackers/safeties/etc clean so morale/energy doesn't get drained as much before.

"Conventionally" . . . I do not know what this word means

the run nerf & defense contain buff had nothing to do with it I'm sure

Oh I'm sure the blocking tech/power nerf from a few seasons ago had a lot to do with it. This is the last season the skills are gradually rolled back right? I'd love to see what my o-lines current actual tech/power really is.

That said, the difference in 22 pancakes for the DE's can be further shown like this.

Season 10:
2 pass rushing DE's caked 21 times
1 run stuffing DE caked 1 time

Season 11:
2 run stuffing DE's caked 0 times
1 pass rushing DE seeing limited snaps caked 0 times
Other pass rushing DE not even on the depth chart.

It helps.
