You could feasibly have a player in pro after just 1 season but it would be a lot of work.

Anyone else who has never played GLB1? I know there are more, many don't post in forums though
Most Yahoo users don't really post on the forum, so you're not going to get much of a response.

I played GLB1 from Season 6 to when GLB2 went public(S36?)
This version is much more compelling to me. With traits and more attributes there are a lot more build variations. The leagues are better and the ladder makes it a lot more interesting.

I started GLB in season 13. I preferred peewee ball. Every season mattered and you competed right away. In the off-season you would tweak rosters, builds, and tactics and do it all again.
I lost interest in regulars by the time minors came around. Building dots took forever, it was all really boring to me.
Because I preferred peewee leagues over regular leagues I was constantly told I was not permitted to post in the forums. Anytime I posted a suggestion or anything at all for that matter I was always told how terrible I was at the game and in real life and should quit immediately. All because I preferred a different style of league from the good ol' boys. I spent money too. I spent hours a night game-planning and literally days making my AIs. They run people out of the game and are now bitter and butt hurt people left. I'm gone now and they can play with themselves.
GLB2 has everything that made peewee ball fun and you don't have to reset every season.

Never played GLB1. Discovered this game randomly and started making players S5, owned a team since S6.
I've played a lot of sports dynasty games on places like whatifsports and was tired of scrolling pbp to "view" games. The Tecmo graphics immediately appealed to me for that reason, and I doubt I'd enjoy GLB1 for the same reason. It's just so much more engaging to actually watch, makes me more invested in what I'm doing.
I do like the idea of the extra strategy and control that it sounds like GLB1 has, and I'd be fine with GLB2 moving a little more in that direction fwiw.

You are able to view games in GLB1. They are dots however rather than actual players.

Yeah now I'm spoiled by the graphics. Can't backtrack to watching dots run around like a flea circus.
