Hey - rushing isn't completely dead yet.

You should nerf carry grip by 50%.

And make the runner go the wrong way 30% of the time.

Yeah - that's the ticket.

Seriously, did rushing really need another Nerf. We haven't even seen the blocking changes play out in vet yet. Rookie rushing was already easy to stop, passing is going to completely dominate the tier now.

Hopefully CiT gets reduced some, I think rushing is about where it should be but passing really needs to be addressed as well.

Ya, this is bad. I can't do anything offensively with BEEF anymore.

If rushing was underpowered before, you'd be laughing at a rushing nerf, not mad about one, because you wouldn't have been using it.

The more mad people are about a balance change the more it is warranted.

I'm hoping I can make a case with just a few replays, nothing conclusive I'm sure but maybe it'll convince Bort and Corndog to take a quick look.

In this play, you see the ROLB(18 ZA, 50 MA) read run at tick 24 and the FS(65ZA,50MA) read run at tick 24.5/25.

Same ROLB reads it about tick 27, MLB tick 29/30, and FS about tick 30. Only the FS has an investment in ZA, all have at least 50 in MA.



Now for my Zone team, all in which range from 60-77ish ZA and nothing invested into MA.

FS across the field reads it at 30/31, CB2 tick 40, LOLB is engaged in a block at tick 47 without reading run, SS reads run at 47.5

CB2 and LOLB read it about tick 33(much better, but they backpedaled 5 yards down field and now they are ready to be engaged by blockers who have had time to line up perfectly) SS reads it at tick 37

Can anyone argue that before the change Balanced offenses were on average weaker than their focused counterparts? The simple need to split point distribution for both run and pass creates a deficit compared to teams committing all points to 1 focused area. This was a huge deviation from a real football simulation. In the NFL one dimensional teams rarely if ever win championships, its just too easy for good DCs to gameplan against, even the great rushing/passing teams had some balance to their attacks... So my only conclusion is you guys feel threatened that balanced offenses may close ground on your focused offenses in terms of effectiveness. If this is the case continue being angry that balance finally got paid its due attention, and given more relevance.

I never said it was underpowered, it was impossible to tell where it was since we hadn't seen the full effects of the blocking cost changes at vet. In rookie it was obvious passing was the stronger metagame. That's all I said

Eh I still think the only reason passing was so strong at rookie is because everyone was building their defense to stop the run, and running teams could still put up points despite that.

I laughed at it. Although, if I owned a rushing team I'd be mad at all the nerfs too lol.
