But let's not get bogged down in us. Let's instead turn our attention to Bhall's passing offense, and the sadness he must be enduring. I mean, dude built a team to try and beat the Stunners and failed, and in turn left his defense in sweats waiting to get pantsed by every passing attack he faces.

I do support his thought to fold the team though. Corndog probably ain't gonna make the offseason chemistry friendly enough to bother searching for a QB and WR to replace Stixx's players. Even with Tiny Rogers hitting the market this offseason and there always being S* QB options available. One less ridiculous rushing defense for Ground Assault to try and navigate as we arrive next season.

And DD has lost 2 fewer games, and Run Defenders has lost 1 fewer.

Debatably, if we hadn't goofed around running 100% screens against DD the first league game, we'd all have exactly the same record. BHall and Paraboon built their attempts to improve the Air Raid concept... and they pretty much just ended up with teams almost as good as Air Raid

Step 2: when you lose to a running team cry and whine unceasingly
Step 3: make 4 threads a week to nerf running
Step 4: get involved with a running team and all of your concerns for "game balance" and "the good of the game" magically disappear
Step 5: get back on the bus of bragging about your crappy 16-9 passing team.
Step 6: go through normal idiot GLB excuses: 'didn't try' -- 'we lost but are still better than you' etc
Step 7: catch a glimpse of what an idiot you are....and instantly try to shift attention to someone else...

what "errrbody knows" is honestly that Air Raid had the talent to hold onto #1 for a long time. The problem was the coaching (you). Too lazy with game plans. To dumb with the build guidance. Too many tears wasted crying when you should have been studying.

You put together a bad game plan and lost, no way around it you lost. I can just as easily say if I would have ran different defensive plays I would have dominated you like I did the first game and there is no way to prove it otherwise.

As far as you comment on DD/Run Defenders, both teams are in the playoffs and made it easily. To narrow it down even further, we are in the same division which DD will finish 1st and you 3rd. To say that we didn't take the passing concept and improve on it is just silly. If anything DD proves that you don't need 5+ Receiving SSs to remain competitive.

Not possible...Gali made clear, more than once, having 5 S* WRs is the ONLY WAY to be a successful passing team.

What he did more though was say "the game is broken obviously - we have more superstars and other teams are scoring more points than we are with fewer superstars" Seems he could never accept that more superstars don't = automatic wins (which supports his bad coaching as the reason Air Raid only had a brief stint at the top)



Cue some kind of comment about "real life" or "got too busy" or something like that

sorry dude. You've been doing this stuff for 6 months or more. Excuses. Blame. "Running is overpowered" (til you run a running team).

Our definitions of competitive are different. Harrisonburg is competitive. Minnesota is competitive.

The rest of us are solidly tier 2 this season.

Elite = Minnesota
Competitive = Top 10 ish team

At this point, txSteve's just trying to goad me into rebuilding Air Raid so he'll have someone to play with on his rookie rebuild next season

I'm not doing it and It's too late in any event. I'm not a single agent guy, and I can't get a roster organized this late and I wouldn't rebuild a team that looks like Air Raid anyhow. It was a good concept circa Season 6. It's not a sound concept anymore. Not if you're shooting for #1 overall.

Hell, Ground Assault was built more as a "what if we only ever ran 5-2 defense?" experiment. We intended to make it as competitive as possible, but that limitation was hard-coded into the roster for science and research. If Air Raid could operate offensively at a high level with a mostly hands-off coordinating job on offense, was it possible you could build a team to operate similarly on defense? That's what Ground Assault is.

You're right about my dissappearing acts from the forum though. This community, by and large, sucks. When I stop posting for awhile, it's either because real life stuff with my work and family is eating up time, or I've decided that I'm tired of bothering with all the assholes on this forum. My very soon to be happening forum absence will be due to the latter. So ya'll have fun playing with yourselves for awhile. I'll come back sometime shortly after jamz makes his next "ded forumz is ded" locked thread in GLB2 main.

I'm not gonna let the forums die. Screw you negative Nancys and your false prophecies!
