haha, GG. You guys just ate up all my defenders in piles constantly. #1 must frustrating thing as a DC is to watch all those poor angles and reaction.

Then the pitch eats me up. There is no real logical win against that formation. Just have to hope that you pick your battles well against plays that aren't GL. Which isn't easy against INHS as they are very formidable with that 2 WR.

rushing QB rollouts and screens can complicate defensive calls. You basically have to pick your poison or try and not get beat big. Run GLB is a top 10 team, possibly top 5 based on their split: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/team/766

Probably the best example of how diversity can be used as a strength. Just scout their 2 WR offense. You've got to account for screens, QB rollouts, sweeps and inside rushes. There's no perfect defense for all of those. It's a rock, paper, scissors type game with them.

You are talking about a multitude of different facets of the game though. I am just simply talking GL Rollout Strong vs. GL Pitch. No doubt 2 WR is a hell of an animal. I love the complexity of it. Even as a DC. Frustrating it surely is but that is much more a pick your poison rather than GL formation where it really is hope you win more rolls than your opponent in the blocking/reaction game.

Seriously. Hate when I have a great play called and the defenders go full retard. That and blockers pulling defenders from the back. Those run stoppers started to get it in 2nd half

I was hoping that Weak cat would hold you somewhat inside to like 4 YPC. Once I seen your backs just plow through with Jukes and broken tackles I wasn't feeling too good anymore about it. I knew that weak side Rollout would work pretty well but I figured if I could just stop you to just a somewhat long gain (20 yards or so) it woulda been worth it for the TFL's weak side. That defense looks stellar against WCW earlier today. I just can't get off blocks as easy against you guys and your RQB seems to hesitate outside a little more than theirs eating up more of my defenders. Well played. Wish there were more of these teams around the top ranks besides just you guys and a little bit of Run GLB. You guys both being in my league complicates scrimming all day.

Ill be back stronger either in the playoffs if we manage to win our division or next season. Now that I have seen how much better you guys are than I thought I think I can make things a little more interesting.

Maybe, but goal-line is a heavy formation. It's meant to be more one on one, my guys vs your guys. If you're talking rollouts and sweeps, it's manageable. Add in inside rushes and weakside off tackle rushes and it gets harder. I don't see that as something that's absolutely absurb, though. We're still talking elements that are quite stoppable when targeted. Again it's a rock, paper, scissors game with goal line. It's not like you're see teams put up absurd points with goal line offenses vs quality opponents.

You don't see that as absolutely absurd because a huge reason why your backs are doing so well is GL spam.

GL is hardly rock, paper, scissors. If it was it would be a ton more like 2 WR formation. But it isn't. Not even close.
