Not really, life happens and if you know Steve he doesn't take this game that serious. Hell, I don't know anyone who does to be honest.

I took about a month off. Family stuff.

if I was going to disappear after a loss it would have been after our championship loss to Nebraska which hurt real bad -- or after this season 5 loss to Live Oak which I still can't figure out: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/game/80011

I'm back now but still not doing any coaching --- thank goodness for Maddencoach who is a super glb stud.


Peeti - are you under the impression that MMA was my first loss? Looking at my record as an owner (which included 2 mediocre seasons pre-reset) - I've lost 35 times (and tied 2).

Why would I think that? I was a member of the real AllMadden team and cause of that following the Stunners' whole career. You may have aimed for a perfect season tho? who knows.

Besides...it wasnt only you who disappeared. Madden, one of the best league forum posters of aall time, also quit posting right after that loss. So I believe you, that there was sth in real life but that loss still did sth to you guys

if you've been following us since all-madden -- then you know that madden (every season) goes dark on the forums just about as soon as things start 'getting serious'. I guess not leading our division would classify as serious -- but can't speak for him. He likes the motivation of all the chatter.

Cant say that I noticed that. Dont think it is entirely true as well. Tell me what you want man, you aimed for that perfect season and you were both pissed after that loss. I dont even say I cannot understand that. I still have my doubts about your story. It also doesnt explain all this name change/avy thing stuff.

Something broke in both of you, Im sure. I hope you will bounce back

You take this game was to serious, no one is letting this effect them IRL.

I will vouch for Steve taking time off. I have been around him since GLB1 and we all take small breaks, and the amount of time Steve was on GLB he needed to step away. This isn't the first time he has done this in the last few seasons. The first time I would say is when he put Madden in control of the Stunners, prior to that he ran 100% of things, that is why you saw him in the forums more. Sadly I have to say if you have a family I would 'STRONGLY' suggest sometimes just walking away. I probably spent more hours than I care to admit on this site playing a game (which imo involves forums/scout tool/etc...) I have vested interest in my time where most do not.

Steve is one of those agents who when they do lose, accept at times its RNG. Think of it this way, he ran Dookie Island for 2-3 seasons while Madden was running his team. It was only until this season he didn't run Dookie. There were a few times he and I played each other and since I am a GM on Dookie as well, I knew he added custom books and tactics for me, so he tried to an extent and never was beat down after a loss.

There are some agents who do take this game serious and I do believe Steve does care, and tries hard when he is here, but I know for a fact he didn't leave because of the loss. As Peeti you mentioned, timing was the only thing keeping the conversation interesting

Wake up...you dont need a romantic dinner anymore to get laid. Luck sometimes still plays a big role :'D
