all we really need though is enough to get Corndog to take a quick peak behind the curtain and determine - "yes, that looks weird" or "working as intended"

Ok here are the results against EVERY League and Ladder game played in Season 5 across all tiers!
Some things of note when reading these numbers. Times and Comp % are against all pass attempts. All other incomplete categories are against all incomplete attempts thus giving the percentage of incomplete passes this how many times it occurred.

Looking at the numbers its clear, if you hurry the passer it does have a negative effect on the intended results. The numbers don't seem too high in differential but I think this has quite a bit to play on QB quality.
If you have a higher quality QB you will not be effected by the hurry as badly as they can check down, or find a better target faster with better accuracy.
Pin point a few teams and you can find alternatives to the result set produced but when you factor in that result set included 699,344 pass attempts its hard to argue that there isn't an effect or even a reverse effect when the passer is hurried.

awesome - you're the man Stobie! Thanks.
Looks like the examples I had were junk.
Any chance the data is stored in a way that would let you break it down by QB Tier?
Pro QB's:
Journeyman:
etc

This was my next question... throw out rookie results and i wonder what the numbers would be?

So you can say getting hurried isnt better as not getting hurried. It is probably like with completions in double coverage. If it happens you remember that for a long time and if a pass is incomplete you take it as granted.

Thanks a bunch for that!!! Kind of sad though that it takes 20 hurries to turn a complete pass into an incomplete pass. I guess my point is still valid. It would also be very nice if we can see the stat for yard/catch or yard/attempt.

Any chance you can add in "average completion yardage"?
I want confirmation that unhurried passes go for longer - maybe it was to a player deeper down the field, maybe it was to someone who made an easy catch roll and got some YAC, but just assurance than unhurried=yards.

dont get carried away, 2 percent means 2 out of 100 throws its worse... so its bad, but not really... punishable? i guess is a way to put it

2 percent is nothing when you throw the ball 75 times a game it just means if i huried you all 75 throws you would have 1.75 more incopmpletions... it shows the hurry component is broken i would think

Exactly.
QB throws one more 'fell incomplete' pass when he is hurried 74.9 times than when he isn't 74.9 times.
QB throws one more interception when he is hurried 2525 times than when he isn't 2525 times.
QB throws one more batted away pass when he is hurried 61.6 times than when he isn't 61.6 times.
QB throws one more dropped pass when he is hurried 147.9 times than when he isn't 147.9 times.
LOL I can continue on. If anyone have any clue on how many interceptions NFL QBs throw (or even just bad throws) because they are under pressure, they should all agree this needs be changed.

It's not even about a game being realistic. It's way way off. There is just too little impact that hurries have on passing.

And on top of that, worse teams with worse QBs are hurried way more, resulting in a bad throw not because of hurry but the QB passing abilities/low morale/WR catching abilities.

(My guess) Hurries lead to bad passes, which also leads to dropped passes. They also lead to bad passing decisions which leads to passes being unable to secure and to deflections and interceptions.

Don't get carried away. Even if what I said there isn't taken into account, linemen need to force 17.8 hurries to make one incomplete pass. That's equivalent to one Knocked Loose. Imagine that.
