I've watched every Lost Lounge and Cat Herder replay every single season.

I know what went wrong. I don't care that I know it because IT SHOULD NOT HAPPEN.

And more than that, it's not one game that made me decide to quit at the end of the season. I was already getting a bit bored before the season started. The early season struggles of the Lost Lounge actually offset that because it was a challenge to deal with the chemistry hit we took. Now things are rolling again, and even tho we're only 50/50 on making the playoffs, it's still a top ten team after everything we went through.

I'm leaving because I'm bored. I'm leaving because the sim isn't an accurate representation of football at all. I'm leaving because when I was writing the manuals, I realized I couldn't write the manuals on playcalling because part of my "I'm god" schtick is that I get hyperaware of doing everything I can to not be wrong, and anything I wrote on playcalling would be guessing since I've tried a whole variety of tricks to always get specific plays called in specific situations, and nothing accomplished that. I'm leaving because I've spent more on this game than on MMO's that I've played for years and am not having anywhere near as much fun as I do with them. I'm leaving because I honestly think the devs have moved on to another game and that this one is about as good as its going to get which isn't good enough to earn my attention.

I posted the original post in the hopes that Corny'd read it, look at that game, figure out what went wrong with his sim, and fix it so it doesn't happen again. That's it.

As a side note, y'all's response made Jude say bad words on the actual Lounge board. While I find that really freakin' hilarious (cuz Jude is never like that), it isn't exactly a shining endorsement of community.

I get being bored. I certainly am. Which is why with my new job lately it's actually kinda nice to check in on the box scores, spend points, and log out for the most part.

The point is, 5 seasons from now when there's a robust Veteran tier rolling, nobody will care or remember that the artists formerly known as the loungers ran a few teams for a few seasons through lower tiers, and won a few games and a couple of championships. Those types of victories are meaningful for only a couple seasons. But you ask any GLB1 veteran about a team like Valhalla, and they'll wax poetic, or bitch incessantly about those bastards and the run they had in Seasons 13-15, and how it was one of the more dominant displays in GLB1 History.

That happened almost 30 seasons ago.

Heck, there's even specific players from the first 10 seasons of GLB1 that people will still reference because those players were Epic compared to their peers. Doesn't matter that they eventually got totally outclassed by builds and players later on and would be garbage builds in the current meta of GLB1.

Obviously, it's ya'lls right to get burned out on a game. Happens in any online PvP game all the time. But if the goal was to leave a mark, ya'll need to keep at least one team together and stick around longer IMO.
