I hear a lot of people say pass awareness to 50 is a good idea and i see your pass tech is height with 25 leadership.

Your thoughts on this?

You first need, Accuracy, Tech and Power to make throws. These all need to get to 20.

Then you need Conditioning and Pass Awareness to 20

Then you go back to Accuracy and Tech, but mostly Tech as your receivers still have low hands scores and your trying to stop the drop rate. A drop rate of 20% is too high. Your trying to get under 15%.

At the first Star, you but everything into Conditioning because you need it. Then go back to Accuracy and Tech.

Here and there you can raise Power or something else, but Tech is by far the most important early skill a QB can take.

Generally yes. DTs almost a total yes. A Passing Rushing DE maybe not, but there isn't much difference between 1 and 3 Speed and how it caps Sprinting on the skills page.

So unless you really want a fast DE with Speed 5 / Sprinting 50, I'd stick with a 1 Speed.

My DLineman on LogZilla Boys are all 818477. Strength, Speed, Agility, Stamina, Awareness, Confidence.

It works out to some very nice caps for your Tech, Power abilities. If you want pure Tech or Power, you can skew the 8-8 mix to what you want. The others are pretty solid no matter the build. Stam of 4 is enough. Awareness and Confidence of 7 allow your player to react quickly and have a high consistency number, which too many people undervalue, IMO.

Don't forget that speed increases break run block too before setting it to 1 for your DL. Id rather have a DE with 7 speed and 1 confidence than vice versa in most cases. Depends a lot on traits though.

Great guide for new QBs! I strongly agree on tech being number 1. IYO, how high would you take pocket awareness to in the first season to combat the rookie blitz meta?

I'd say none. I put no SP into pocket awr last season and my sack rate was 7.1% which was at least top 3 in all of rookie. And that was with a balanced Oline. I did pass awr to 50 quickly, which helped and hurt. Great for getting the ball out quicker, shit for quality and rec %. If I started all over again, I'd go Xars route and eat more sacks to take in more quality passes.

I've not started up a passing QB in awhile, but pass awareness was king for handling blitzes. Tech and Accuracy don't mean a whole lot when you're eating 20 sacks a game, and you absolutely will be eating that many sacks against a halfway competent Defensive Coordinator if you've got 20 pass awareness.

Belgarath's build is open. He has 24 Pass Awareness.

His sack rate is 5.199%.

His hurry rate is 7.86%.

I find both acceptable.

His first SA was On the Run rather than Quick Read.

Yes, he has a full Pass Block line, but their stats still aren't that good compared to the DLine.

In the end, I think play calling is a much bigger factor than Pass Awareness.

mrm,

My Run DE caps with 75 Break Run Block and my Run DT at 77, both with 1 Speed.

How much does Speed 7 add?

What's your Def Consistency cap at with a 1 confidence?

Thanks.

At Rookie, I would think so. It not until later on that you starting creating your style.

At Rookie, you need completions more than anything.

I'm looking for someone experienced to help me out a little with managing my team. I already know my players builds suck but I have no idea what to do in terms of tactics/playbook or subs and stuff.

This is a common problem with new owners. I think we need a guide for the playbook/tactics because it can be very intimidating at first.

What specific question do you have regarding subs?

Well should I sub frequently at all?
