I'm certain it IS useful when you get sacked a bunch, but ideally sacks are pretty rare as you level up. QBs in Seasoned and Journeyman are taking fewer than 2 sacks a game regularly. Tossing a few points into grip to lessen fumbles is one thing, but you're burning a valuable SA to do it. Not to mention, Brace is powered by a skill you're not likely to pump very high on a passing QB.

It seems it's a little faulty. May be just how the game works but drop back power is nothing worth from what I've seen. A little bird across the street said that drop back grip is very useful. Especially if you have brace 4 impact SA for your qb

Well much like 100 power rushing and no balance. Drop Back Power is gonna look pretty worthless. I am going big though on it with a QB so I will keep checking in with the results.

Yea I had misunderstood the definition of the attribute. That's why we here to learn and improve the game.

Alright so Drop Back Power and balance are maxed for my guy. I would guess I need to push power running now but that seems weird considering that is what drop back power should kinda be?

Terrible results so far.

Yeah, the guy that hit him was a weak CPU player too.

Maybe you didn't see him coming? Do you need to pass an awareness roll to brace for the tackle?

and ya thats what sort of gets me is that these are mostly weak CPU's hitting me and not well built blitzers. giving up lots of skill points just to break a sack. lol

...lol, good thing you told everyone it was an experiment.

Someone actually makes that build: "Oh man, he's going to be able to stand in the pocket all day and just shrug off tacklers until someone finally gets open, when he can then make a weak off target throw that has no spiral.

If pocket awareness doesn't help, Footwork might. I know that the ability to move around quickly in the pocket is a Footwork skill, so maybe some mobility will help?

Well when he breaks a sack or 2 I'll think about his passing priorities. This is quite the investment for zero broken sacks though against shitty defenders.

I'll push pocket awareness and footwork. See how that goes.

Yeah, exactly. Now, I don't think it shows up as a broken tackle, are you watching the games to see?

Interesting...maybe toughness plays a big role in it. Thanks for doing the research bhall!

Part of the problem with playing in the Lead league is that you aren't going to be subject to the all-out blitz that most human controlled teams send.

Might actually be better to find a human team willing to sign your experiment, even if they know it is a bad move with respect to winning?
