Because most pancakes on the GLQB spam was between the tackles, and irrelevant to the play.

The only thing relevant was outside the tackles, where there was usually 4 blockers and 2-3 defenders, so pancakes weren't even very helpful.

i dunno I would just stop comparing this game with NFL/NCAA/HS/Pop warner/etc...what everyone wants is a balance between defense and offense. And what nobody wants is to see one or two plays take over the game on either side of the ball. As an OC/DC I want to feel like the game is a chess match and if I gameplanned well and put the builds i wanted in the right places good things should happen. Arguing numbers (and real life) is only going to really make this a huge circle jerk of stupidity.

Here is what I think has led to the dramatic reduction in pancakes:

- harder to hold blocks in open field -- less time in blocking engagement = less chance of a pancake

- it seemed pathing was improved - I don't know if that can be considered a buff to pursuit or not - but obviously - fewer blocks engaged = fewer pancakes

- I definitely agree with Thunderoo - longer plays likely = more pancakes (I don't agree it leads to double pancakes though)

I didn't run QB roll out spam. My pancakes have dropped 50%.

My FB and TE on Erkner have probably gotten over half thier career pancakes on Special Teams. I've seen them get as many as 4 pancakes on a single play when we get a TD return. Sometimes they have time to pancake the same guy twice when he gets up from the knockdown. The number of ticks in a play is absolutely relevant.

What about the dramatic increase in reverse pancakes on Oline?

Well can you tell us sooner rather than later what you plan on doing instead of just randomly one day changing stuff?

It was less than 5 blocking power. If you had 40 blocking power, you lost THREE blocking power.

Kind of hard to take your post serious when you're overreacting, overanalyzing, and making mountains out of molehills.

It's not the power nerf that is having the effect, it's a mixture of defensive players having super reaction times and not engaging in blocking animations at all.

Probably all the guys losing their blocking interactions more often because they are all power.

My Team (minnesota stunners)
Game 1: vs redmong - 164 pancakes, 673
Game 2: vs Akron Dawgs (seasoned team) 122 pancakes, 368
Game 3: vs Luelinks 148 pancakes, 553
Game 4: vs Whodats (seasoned) 90 pancakes, 174
Game 5: vs EEA 134 pancakes, 657
Game 6: vs Rancho (seasoned) 67 pancakes, 423,
Game 7: vs Winnipeg 94 pancakes, 413.5
Game 8: vs Hawks (seasoned) 160 pancakes, 462.5
----Nerf-----
Game 9: vs Gangsta 63 pancakes, 402
Game 10: vs Black Hole (seasoned) 94 pancakes, 402
Game 11: vs Da Borg 56 pancakes, 453
Game 12: vs Miami Dolphins (seasoned) 18 pancakes, 142

Yardage listed. For the stunners it's a bit interesting because they're playing bad seasoned teams all the time. What I do notice is that pre-nerf 400ish yard games gave between 67 and 122 pancakes. Quite a range; after the nerf you've had 3*400 yard games all within a reasonable distance of the range we'd expect. The latest ladder game had 142 yards gained so not surprised by the low number of pancakes.

The percentage drop that we're seeing here in pancakes is mainly due to the small number of games played post after the nerf. Before the nerf you have some blowout high yardage games which lead to lots of pancakes (morale etc). Wait a few more games post nerf and I'd expect the stunners to have some 100+ pancake games.

Got an example team for us to look at?

Granted my high power build hasn't really seen a real increase in Rev cakes at all. I mean its rare that I get rev caked twice in one game. PanCakes however have taken a dive. But I am rather certain it is my lack of tech.

Out of boredom, I'll go through your (our) rush first only team's first and only loss since the changes.

ldo a dive shouldn't work well when they have 8 guys stacked in the box

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/67422/1477499
Again, ldo

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/67422/1477657
CB has more than double break run block and the WR has block tech, so ldo. The WR does engage and slow him down briefly

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/67422/1477678
HB gains 2 yards before getting taken off his feet instead of pushing for more yards

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/67422/1477685
6 yard gain

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/67422/1477787
11 yard gain

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/67422/1477813
28 yard gain

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/67422/1477832
WR with zero blocking skill fails to hold a block again

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/67422/1477842
Probably bad play design, won't argue that one, should probably be tweaked a bit

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/67422/1477936
3 yard gain against 9 in the box

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/67422/1477944
2 yard gain against 8 in the box

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/67422/1478056
3 yard gain, HB gets taken off his feet instead of fighting for yards

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/67422/1478064
Bad play design again

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/67422/1478081
10 yard gain

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/67422/1478167
4 yard gain against 9 in the box

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/67422/1478171
Key blocker doesn't hold his block, can't win them all I guess

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/67422/1478216
24 yard gain

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/67422/1478230
7 yard gain

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/67422/1478235
4 yard gain with 9 in the box

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/67422/1478242
4 yard gain, HB gets decleated again

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/67422/1478253
6 yard gain

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/67422/1478256
2 yard gain and first down against 8 in the box

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/67422/1478266
4 yard gain, touchdown if the HB breaks a single tackle

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/67422/1478277
11 yard gain

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/67422/1478282
4 yard gain inside the 5 yardline

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/67422/1478287
TD

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/67422/1478453
3 yard gain, HB decleated again

And that's the end of the first half.

All I see is mostly a bunch of inside rushing with the box absolutely stacked, and an HB getting drilled instead of fighting out yards when it isn't.
