I view that as under the "skills" umbrella. Though it's certainly under the playcalling/team management stategery aspect of the game too.

2 for 3 on predictions so far...

didn't think LSP would beat Erie...

Was really confident Hawaii was going to beat Atlantic, and for good reason... not quite sure why Atlantic decided to go blitz crazy (including middle overload) in the 4th knowing that Hawaii is run-happy... gave up 4 LONG TDs in the 4th

I'm pretty sure that's just Altantic's base defense. They don't change it much, if at all.

don't think many people gameplan for ladder games

ugh... beat Salty and STILL not #1

at least that game takes a little out of the sting from that last second loss to them last season

I REALLY hope Hawaii gets Salty next ladder game, not only because I'm sick of playing them, but I'd like to see how they match up

2 seasoned teams in the overall top 50 now for the first time ever (maybe 3 by the end of the day)

slowly but surely catching up with the journeyman teams

Probably won't see any in the top 10 up until the final bell all things considering. They are always going to start the season behind in points, behind in league points, etc..But that first season that second tier hits vet that should be a lot of fun.

The real milestone for this season will be how many Seasoned Teams can we get ranked higher than A Good Day 2 Die?

Doubt you'll see any much higher than they are now, salty couldn't really beat any teams in higher caps, don't really expect anyone else to.

Also, I think it might be worthwhile for Corndog and Bort to re-evaluate the "within 10 ranks auto-match against your own tier" aspect of the ladder matchmaking. That number can probably be reduced by 2 every tier at least. That way each season you become slighly more likely of being matched up with higher tier teams. As it is now, if the top 10 of seasoned gets bunched back up sufficiently enough, we could artificially push higher than might otherwise be possible if we were really playing Journeyman teams.

They are in a pretty brutal division right now and even the rest of their league play matches up against 4 other decent teams.

I wonder if folks in journeyman are even aware there's only 88 journeyman teams this season? You've got to be in the top 22 teams just to be considered top 25%. Anybody ranked 45 or lower is a bottom half team.
