I said back in GLB1's early days that endgame for Bort would look like about fifty enthusiasts playing amongst themselves. We're perilously close to that endgame. Each banal season, each unfettered jackass on the forums, each unresolved technical issue nudges us ever closer to an unsustainable future.

Well, there probably won't be much growth while the game is working out a bunch of kinks and still really is in its early stages. I know GLB1 hit a large growth early on but that was only because of how new in intriguing it was at the time. This obviously isn't anything new to any of us anymore and well there have been a couple ventures similar in graphic detail or better that have flopped tremendously during GLB1's time also.

I tend to wonder if when this game reaches a point where Corndog has most of the large kinks settled from rookie to vet and he is able to mostly just add in features to the game such as new formations, player building upgrades, etc...if he will move on with Bort to another venture such as Mighty Brawlers or if he will be able to possibly dabble between GLB1 and 2 and come up with ideas in which to make the games more appealing and bring in new users?

The faster you throw the ball, the quicker the play ends. Thats how i look at it. Its nice to throw bullets though but saving time per play can be very beneficial. Especially in the 4th quarter.

I figured this would happen with my QB. He was on a CPU team so I knew it would be a long shot at him finding a team going up a division. Lot of rookie teams with 2 QBs. Next level not everybody finds the need for 2QBs after they get points onto their guy. Then you have X amount of teams staying down in rookie with EVERY QB moving up.

Yeah I've made 43 accounts 1-43. They are all on the Journyman team named Yello!

That jersey needs to be Burgandy and Gold, imo.

There is ALWAYS a team you can play with, even if it's a low-end ladder team or *gasp* a CPU team. I had to build/develop my HB for two seasons on a GARBAGE (owner had zero cares, half-CPU roster) team before I got some interest from a real team.

I think I know what happened, they wont let people buy the teams that are getting sold. So everyone that resets that is 43 less spots for our players.

It seems like kind of a rip off that I can barely find a team for my players (you are almost forced to retire or keep them sitting around in hopes of finding a team). I have 3 that have not received a single offer. Now they are stuck on CPU's blowing my wad of flex into the air.

INB4 people bitching about CPU teams being high on the ladder

Wow, this game fell off quickly.

There are 168 level 15 free agent CBs out there as of this morning. One hundred and sixty-eight. That is 28 teams full of CBs with 6 per roster. I'm not saying they are all perfect builds, but many of them are very good or better.

Good luck keeping this game afloat Bort, tough to keep people interested in a game where their players can't even get on a team.

I think this GLB2 was a step backwards for Bort & Co.

1 team per account doesn't help. if they let us but more I bet there wouldn't be as many F/A I know why they won't, they're afraid networks will game the ladder system.

How much does being the #1 team on the Ladder pay?

Exactly, so who cares if anyone "games the ladder system" with networks. It doesn't cost WG anything, and it costs the team owners flex.

Way to turn down paying customers (agents wishing to own additional teams) and drive away existing ones at the same time (agents who have FAs without teams - CPUs don't help retain a user base in the long run as there is almost zero forum interaction amongst agents; which is the largest reason anyone plays MMORPGs is for the talk, help and banter on the forums).

I seriously am starting to think their business model is a monkey f@#%ing a football.

No all the forum smack talk was controlled to almost nothing back in the early seasons of GLB1, with mods banning people because they disagreed with them or their friends, but having two football games and the same people using both is going to make one really slow and stale.

Typical GLB..we point out a major problem, and admin tucks their tail and runs, great business model.
