More like "The teams in the playoffs get more accurate ratings" - the way ELO works, the more you play, the more "accurate" the rating. One of the biggest problems entities faced was people refusing to play and "sitting" on their rating.

And considering that most people think of the playoff games as the most important games played, it would be weird to have those not affect a rating system of which teams were the best.

That makes my argument against a loaded division even stronger. We would've won either of the other Tiger divisions (based on current record) but finished 3rd in Gamma. That doesn't make us a bad team, just unlucky where we landed when we were shuffled.

Yeah. We could have. We didn't. We finished with a better record than two playoff teams though. That's the point.

I don't intend to go anywhere unless the league folds. I just hope the other two divisions pick up a couple better teams.

i believe the point is that you weren't good enough to win your division, or to come in second, so you didn't go to the playoffs. it makes sense to me.

you lost to the team in front of you once, and one of the teams that you think you should've made the playoffs over. i suggest, instead of worrying about what's fair or not, you improve your ai in order to win enough games to qualify for the playoffs.

I like how you use Asheme's response because it furthers your argument, and ignore my response, because it points out that it doesn't really have anything to do with your concern about competitive divisions.

I don't see the Rams bitching about needing to be in the same division as Seattle and San Fran. Get better or gtfo.

I'm sure you'd be in here bitching if you got the unlucky draw. His team finished with 10 wins. That's 2 more than the other 3 teams in your division combined. I guess it's all good though because you happened to roll over those teams and look real good. If your so good why don't you request a swap with Tampa Bay(team that finished 4th in that div). And let's see how good you really are.
