What "removing the WR tags" would mean is that if you wanted to run Dogs All Go against a 4WR set, you wouldn't have to trick your AI into pulling it, and likely making it so you only *can* run that play. You could add it in just like any other defensive play, and not be hamstrung into the AI only wanting to use it vs 3WR sets because it's "tagged" for 3WR.

At least that's my understanding of it.

Well if you take it to the extreme and run 2 plays for the entire game that is on you...

Both those plays are decent plays, but they are counterable...

Whatever you are thinking needs to change wouldn't need to be altered if people like you weren't firing these plays every time you can.

DAG and ZEB are pub stomp plays. You can drop them into a game where you know the opponent doesn't know what their doing and just win. It's a little more complex when you have real games.

They failed miserably when I tried to sprinkle them into my playbook.... So I'm a little jelly of everyone who can run it to success...

But yeah anyway answer to Maks Q. is wat Nib said... basically you don't have to 'trick' your AI anymore.

This should be the kryponite for DAG and ZEB. And draw plays.

iirc, draw plays get an update in path logic as well.

Sadly there's other passing plays that just do screens better than screens.

It helps that the flavor of the month fits my defensive ideals. It lets me run all the broken stuff and have builds built for it.

To clarify a bit. Right now, I only have 2 defensive plays - All Dogs Go and Zero Edge Blitz. I had seen teams doing this and got creamed, then I read about it in a thread somewhere and started doing it. Not given up a point since. Why do we have 'x' number of defensive plays available and the clearly outrageous possibility of 15 per receiver set when we only actually need 2?

I'll stop being an asshole now and simply point out that I think this needs to change. 100%

Dude, not to be overly snarky, but shutting out two bad teams doesn't a defensive genius make. And I can 100% guarantee you that your awesomesauce new defense will get shredded if you try it against a real team with a real offense.

Those two plays are good in the right circumstances or against the right opponent, but tell me, supergenious, how well do you really think you'd do against Zorp, Djibouti 2.0, Dryden, Glasgow, or the other hundred or so teams that have figured out how to beat pure pressure defenses?

With where he is on the ladder though he can ride that defense all the way to the mid 50's.

I honestly wished it worked. It's make my job much easier.

I've been sitting here for a couple hours now trying to figure out how in the frak I'm going stop Djibouti 2.0 from running all over my D in the playoffs.

I wonder if the bushido code allows you to commit seppuku before you actual dishonor yourself...

Not back down. He'll just find his new, much better ranking plateau.

Well not all the way back down, but I like to think ladder puts you in an "appropriate" niche.

Not always 100% correct or true to ability, but appropriate.
