Problem is that it's hard to improve your game when every second season is a waste of time. The best way to get better is to lose against good teams and then adapt to learn from your mistakes. Can't do that in silver, there's very little competition there so it's just a waiting game to get promoted back to gold and try new builds/AIs.

I agree that 16 seems too many. Looking at the number of CPU teams in gold from the past couple of seasons the 12 number seems about right.

It's close, I certainly think 16 is too many. I'm not exactly sure about the right number, but I would say that it would be hard to complain about 12 going down. That means the bottom 6 in each conference. I really have never seen a team that was really competitive with the top teams finish lower than 10th. However, I have seen teams that were decent finish in 9th and 10th recently that were better than the promoted teams.

I think 8 and some like 12and 16 why not split it and lets agree with 10??

10 can't be split evenly between the four silver leagues.

Is all this just idle speculation or does it actually get heard by people that count (no offense to people here, but none of us can change this)

Well we could try to get a change to 12 or 10 or something but they don't care about GLB
