I'm not saying you should build 100% run blocking WRs, but I think that being a 60% passing and 40% running team isn't as effective in GLB2 as it is in GLB1. In GLB1 you could build a player that was "run-focued" who could still easily hold their ground against a defender who was "pass-focused". In GLB2, you can be great at one thing and bad at the other or you can be good at both.
There is a P/R/S element in it:
Pure run O loses to a pure run D, beats a pure pass D and beats a balanced D many times.
Pure pass O loses to a pure pass D, beats a pure run D and beats a balanced D many times.
Balanced O running the ball loses to a balanced D many times and a pure run D most of the time, beats a pure pass D most of the time.
Balanced O passing the ball loses to a balanced D many times and a pure pass D most of the time, beats a pure run D most of the time.
"Pure" should really mean focused, because I don't think there will be too many Ds that have 0% of their defenders with points in coverage or tackling.
