Whatever dude, vote for who you want for, and I'll do the same. Just like in real life, the guy with the best stats isn't always the one voted in. If you think your boy is better, great, get more votes for him.

Okay, man. If you want to vote on the basis of "people I saw play against my team" then go for it. Obviously you're not going to be convinced by facts.

Don't ever make the mistake of confusing stats with facts

Statistics, in this context, are facts. In sports, they are the only facts.

Fact: Mister Moose had as many games with 3 or more sacks (6) as Boomer McDude had games with any sacks.

Fact: If you took away those 6 games from Mister Moose, he would still have 3 sacks more than McDude. (And be tied for 7th in the league.)

Fact: Against common opponents, Boomer McDude had 8 tkl, 1 missed tkl, 1 sack, 8 hurries, 1 TFL, and 1 INT to compare to Mister Moose's 14 tkl, 0 missed, 10 sacks, 5 hurries, 4 TFL, 1 FFum, 1 fumble recovered, and 1 PD.

Fact? You cannot tell me an objective reason that Mister Moose is worse than Boomer McDude in any way, and thus should probably just keep your vote on the guy you clearly prefer for whatever reason and stop trying to argue.

I'm done arguing with you, man. You are confusing this with a Hall of Fame voting. I have all the respect in the world for Moose, but you are hurting his chances at getting in by how you represent him.

Um, what? What is the difference between a Hall of Fame voting and a "best DE in the league" voting (as far as the way you determine your vote)? What are you voting based on?

Also, if presenting a guy's stats convinces people to not vote for him, then...what are people using to vote? I'm not even saying that McDude is a bad player--he is in fact a pretty good player on a good defense on a good team.

(Note: these are honest questions to which I really would like to know your answers.)

But the avatar is not a real football player and therefore means that the player doesn't take the game seriously. QED.

He is th stat king. HOWEVER, as i said before this is an Most VALUABLE Player vote, not Most Bestest or Most Popular.

I would apply this test to any MVP candidate: If you took the nominee and replaced them with their backup what would happen to the team? The player that impacts his teams success the most should win the MVP award.

In Bob's case he obviously is very important to that team because he is a QB. But I would surmise that his teams success is more due to the overwhelming defense than the QB play. Now Northbrooks QB probably means more to that team than Bob does to his I would think even though Bob has better stats.

Not the record but K Jones on the Devils hit a 57 yarder.

If Samoa's success is due to the overwhelming defense, then would it not follow that the MVP is a player on the Samoa defense?

Northbrook's success isn't due to their offense, it's due to their INTs and run defense. Unfortunately, they spread those around too much for Rambo Smoke to really be an MVP candidate. You'd have to fall back on their HB, Ben Richards, who is very good but still isn't really a great league MVP. To be honest, Northbrook is really admirable in that they are so successful without a lot of real standout individual players.

yea, his season is definitely one for the books. i was happy for him, yet at the same time if his stats weren't so ridiculous i would have had a chance to be the CB of the year too... lol. ah well, good for him. cant be mad at a team mate. its just cool to have 2 candidates on the same team!

Can I nominate both of my starting Corners? Without them my Defense would not be nearly as dominate as they were.
