It really is. Staying in the WL is pretty easy if you have good dots, experienced coordinating, and a decent amount of cares. The nature of a playoff is that one bad sim or one bad gameplan can end your run, so unless you're just vastly superior to every other team in your conference then it is harder to make it out of Pro than to stay up here. We've all seen situations where a great Pro team laid an egg and someone we viewed as "less worthy" made it in their stead, then got obliterated the next season up here. It happens.
the eggs are usually due to coordinating. In WL you play about 13-15 games vs teams that are better then the ones you face in pro. I did almost nothing at all and stomped the 3 teams in EEPRO I faced.
Sometimes it happens when some good teams get lumped in the same conference but for 95% of the time there is 1 or 2 teams better then everyone. If they are in the same conference so be it, but the one who doesn't make it shouldn't be in WL. All they would do is go 0-16 with an upside of 2-14
