As for the heave ho -- get real. Rooster said multiple times in his PM's to me that he didn't want to see my player go (and who offers a 2 year, 95k per deal with a 50k signing bonus to a guy they plan to toss anyway? That's the deal I turned down and upset your "team"...) but because I wouldn't lock down longterm, my contract ended mid-season the next season and I had a NTC, that he wanted to cut me in the off-season because of the chem hits he'd take otherwise. So, if you must know... it was mutually decided that cutting me was the best option. I thanked rooster for that at the time and in fact, thanked him AGAIN a week ago when we touched base again.
Next thing you know you'll be saying Fat "The Man" Jones had an attitude problem because he turned down a deal from you guys and couldn't wait to leave that team either. I just talked to him recently, as well. Still have those PM's too.
EDIT: As a matter of fact, re-reading through these PM's with rooster, I even offered to extend my current contract to day 40 of this season with El Condor so they wouldn't get the chem hit and I'd still fulfill my contract. I put it right out there on the table for rooster. I told him to send me an offer that extends me to day 40 and I'd sign it. He felt he had enough DT's, though (you guys had six DT's at this time, my main gripe) and would rather give me my release if I wouldn't be happy there. There you go... a look behind the scenes. There's no animosity or hatred between rooster and I (as far as I know) and we pretty much discussed things like adults in these PM's. Nothing really good heated. I just told him where I was coming from and he told me where he was coming from. I wouldn't sign longterm, he wanted everyone on his team on longterm deals. Something had to give. You can go ahead and paint it however you like but that's the _real_ story. Not the one you've fabricated.
Also, I think everyone can look at how you've conducted yourself on these public boards and not question for a minute why anyone wouldn't want to willingly hang around a board with you and some of your pals on it.
