Malik threw the least screen passes of any QB in WL last season.

The playoffs are a bit misleading. He threw about 30% screens in the playoffs but closer to 10% in the regular season.

Depends on the defense and what they are conceding.

then, one would think if a defense calls the incorrect play, screens are easy gains.

However, if they call a good play, the success of the screen depends not so much on the throw, but more on the line blocking and the back making the proper reads and run.

Send the DE into flat zone, position the CB/SS/LB in the right spot and you are not catching screens. Or if you do its for a loss. The success of a screen is 100% on the positioning of dots and doesn't have much to do w/ the skill of the QB or Dot catching the ball.

so his dot is not a factor at all in the chance of compleating the pass, yet he is saying he is great for doing it 80% of the time.

lol. The success of the screen comes down to how good the qb is at throwing deep and how much teams have to respect that qb. Malik won wl mvp by throwing the least amount of screens in the world league. 4 time wl mvp. Kiss the ring... scrub
