Don't really buy it that they'll drop. With the new training methods, you can hit similar values with an overall more rounded out build than you could before. I think numbers will hit a point where they'll remain the same, or maybe even get higher as people continue to push the limits on caps for certain positions.

You have to give Alloy some credit for being on board for HHWC's first one as well.

Alloy did a lot more gameplanning than people think in the playoffs...im talking hours, lots of them and he DID coast in the regular season, but he would scout almost every team and make a game thread explaining some changes he would do..so it isnt like he just left the same plan in waiting to get beat, and what I loved about him is he would trust everybody..he would explain his rationale and explain his gameplan to the entire team in great detail. He didnt have some dumb private forum that everyone has, including myself back in the day. I thought that was pretty cool and made for a great environment and attracted recruits. I don't know of any teams that do this.

as far as this argument..like in any sports thing..and glb especially because of the drastic changes, you cant really compare eras

IIRC, up until the last ssn, there were only a couple dots/agents that hadn't been with Val since the VERY early days. All in all, an extremely loyal, us against the world type of group. For all intents and purposes, the team forum was a pvt fourm, until that last ssn. Also, he really did coast that last ssn compared to what he'd done in the ssns before. He told me a couple times that ssn that his heart just wasn't in it anymore and that he was going to drop down and focus on our other group or quit all together.

Two great teams that played in different Eras. They were the best for 3 seasons, we were the best for 3 seasons. It's like trying to company the 70's Steelers and 80's Niners.

Talent wise, I do think HHWC's current squad is better than Valhala's squad. But that is expected, just like Valhala's dots are better than Generation 1 dots. Both teams have the some of the best dots in their era. I don't think HHWC has the best collection of dots in the game, I'm sure there are other teams fielding better dots overall. But we probably have the most cohesive unit, and some pretty good dots at key positions.

Regarding the best franchise, I'd put them behind Halifax/HHWC/Blaze, and maybe even behind MPHD, Lincoln and some others. They peaked at the right time, (can't speak for other teams, but the time they peaked was the gap period between generation 1 and generation 2 dots for HHWC). They would probably still be a dominating team has Alloy continued, unfortunately he didn't continue and we would have never found out. I have a ton of respect for Alloy and Val, it is amazing what they accomplished with that team. I just think others who have played longer deserves more recognition.

There are so much luck involved in winning a championship, we have lost so many tough playoff games before, and the last three seasons we've got all the breaks. So I guess we were due. This last season was brutally competitive for WL, especially in our conference, a lot of good teams got demoted. It will take a few seasons for WL to be this competitive again imo.
