Actually it was about you trying to be a tough guy and spamming the APL forum...

There are too many good guys on The African Predators for you to embarrass them.

WEEK 8 RANKINGS
LION

1 Franchise (8-0) - Made quick work of Somalia. With only 3, maybe 4, challenging games remaining they are in great shape.

2 Sun City Undertakers (7-1) - Solid win over Zambezi. Never would have thought SCU would be ranked this highly at any point in the season but here they are. Question is how long can they stay up here? Canton, Philly, Franchise, CWE and SF are all still on tap so a lot to be proven still for this team.

3 Massawa Redhorns (6-2) - Jumped out to an early lead over Lincoln to come away with a solid win. Big game coming up next week as they face Franchise.

4 Canton Immortals (7-1) - With the easy half of their schedule behind them it's time for Canton to show the league what they are made of. 5 tough games left on the schedule so we'll find out soon enough just how good they really are.

5 San Francisco Demons (5-3) - Played Fulham tough through the first half but it all fell apart after that. Second half scoring, Fulham 41, SF 2.

6 Carthaginian War Elephants (5-3) - CWE is on cruise control for a few weeks. Not a lot of tough games remaining either so they'll be relying on other teams losing so that they can move up the ranks.

7 Fulham Flying Hellfish (5-3) - As soon as I start losing faith in them they come out and put on a clinic versus the Demons. Great game by the Hellfish that puts the shine back on that has been missing lately.

8 Zambezi Silverbacks (3-5) - Another rough loss for Zambezi. They've got a pretty rough slate remaining too so it's hard to see them getting back to .500 at this point.

9 Philly Franklins (3-5) - Philly actually has an easier second half schedule and they performed well against some of the top teams in Lion. They should be able to make strong push for a playoff spot now.

10 Hobart Tazzy Tigers (4-4) - Dominated by CWE and don't expect to see different results the next 2 weeks either.

11 Lincoln Saints (4-4) - Sitting at .500 with a half of the season behind them the Saints must win every winnable game they have left just to try and stay at .500.

12 Somalia Pirates (2-6) - Since their impressive wins over Massawa the Pirates have not been very impressive. Can they reverse their fortunes against the Ospreys.

13 Newfoundland Ospreys (3-5) - Might have just gotten the last win of their season which should be enough to keep them safe for another season of APL.

14 Wheel City Dragons (1-7) - Did they just save themselves from demotion by taking down Uganda?

15 Uganda Silverbacks (1-7) - I really thought Uganda had a win coming their way when they faced the Dragons. This team just got put in a real bad place by losing that game.

16 African Mafia (0-8) - Done for the season.

ELEPHANT
1 Sons of Anubis (8-0) - Demolished ABD. Big game up next against WWR but is any game really a big game for this team.

2 Windhoek White Rhinos (8-0) - Huge win over TAP. With SoA up next the big question is how far luck can take this team.

3 Black Sea Sunami (6-2) - Only losses came against top 2 teams and they've pretty much dominated every other team. At this point I don't see another loss coming so they'll get rewarded this week since they did beat ICB earlier in the season by moving up to 3rd spot.

4 Ivory Coast Breakers (7-1) - Dominating win over Texans. TAP is up next and that should be a good game but the big challenges are the following 2 weeks with SoA and WWR. Big games that will have seeding impact for at least 2 teams.

5 The Dead Presidents (5-3) - TDP has been on fire the last 5 week just like we all knew they would be after a tough opening schedule. I don't think they'll crack the top 4 but they'll be tough to knock out of the 5th or 6th seeds.

6 Guyana Generalissimo's (6-2) - They get the Texans up next which should turn into a win and then they have 4 rough games before an easy finish to the season.

7 The African Predators (5-3) - Two tough losses and with ICB up next the streak could continue.

8 Angola Blood Diamonds (5-3) - Lost 3 in a row after being manhandled by SoA. The next 4 are tough and it's not crazy to think that ABD could be 5-7 before it's all done. That will leave them with 4 games they must win to make the playoffs.

9 MaRAWK!!o (4-4) - Close games for 3 quarters but they let the Rebels get away with it in the 4th Q. This team is now in trouble with 6 probable playoff teams remaining on the schedule.

10 A7 Nation Army (3-5) - There are at least 3 more losses on their schedule so their season will come down to games against Zimbabwe, Texans and TAP. Any losses against these teams will most likely put them in too deep a hole to get out of.

11 Ron's Texans (2-6) - Better match up next week against Guyana but still a tough game. After that they should be able to nail off a few wins but I think best we see now is an 8-8 finish.

12 Ethiopian Camel Snackers (1-7) - Maybe they can pick up a few wins now that the rough first half schedule is over.

13 Zimbabwe Rebels (1-7) - It's about time.

14 Las Vegas Avengers (1-7) - First win. Woot.

15 Kickin Djibouti (0-8) - Nothing left to say at this point.

16 Laos King Pongers (2-6) - I don't even know who the loss to LVA was possible but you can scratch that 2-6 record as far as I'm concerned. Lose to the worst team and you get dropped regardless of record.

WEEK 9 RANKINGS
LION

1 Franchise (9-0) - Another dominating win for Franchise and looking back on their season you realize that only one team gave them a close game. Clearly heading into the postseason as one of, if not THE, favorite to win Lion this season.

2 Canton Immortals (8-1) - Just took a likely playoff contender behind the woodshed and spanked the hell out of them. Going to be an interesting few weeks for Canton. They have an easy one next week and then it's Franchise and we'll really see how much Canton has been improving. They also have to close out the season against CWE, SF & FFH.

3 Sun City Undertakers (7-2) - Well, SCU's stay at the #2 spot was very short after a hugely disappointing game against Canton where they lost by 133 points. Not the stuff of a great playoff contender right now.

4 Massawa Redhorns (6-3) - Fell way short against Franchise but will have 2 weeks to get things in order before they have to play CWE, SF & FFH. Last month of the season is going to be very interesting as far as playoff seeding goes.

5 San Francisco Demons (6-3) - Bounced back nicely against Hobart. Should be able to rip off a few wins and they've already played most of the tough games. Could make a push for a home playoff spot at this rate.

6 Carthaginian War Elephants (6-3) - Easy pickins for CWE this week. They should be able to take the next 2 and, like SF, they've already played most of the tougher teams.

7 Fulham Flying Hellfish (6-3) - All business this week as they shut out Philly. Could be looking at another 4 weeks of wins if they play like this. Definitely past the toughest parts of their schedule as well and only have Massawa and Canton left as challenges.

8 Zambezi Silverbacks (4-5) - The Silverbacks jumped out to an early lead and never gave it up to come away with a much needed win. It's going to be tough to make a playoff push with their schedule but it's still a possibility if they keep beating the teams they can beat.

9 Philly Franklins (3-6) - After being shutout by Fulham, can Philly turn things around and try to take down SCU – on the heels of a devastating loss themselves – next week.

10 Hobart Tazzy Tigers (4-5) - Not a bad game against a solid SF team. With a sure loss against FFH next week this team doesn't have too much of a margin for error though if they want to make the playoffs.

11 Lincoln Saints (4-5) - With Canton, SCU, Philly, Franchise and CWE remaining this last loss could have been the nail in their playoff coffin.

12 Somalia Pirates (3-6) - A crushing win over Newfoundland should be more than enough to keep this team around next season. No doubt this wil be a tough team next season and they may even finish up 7-9 this season so look out S19 Lion teams.

13 Newfoundland Ospreys (3-6) - Hard to see this team finishing more than 5-11 at this point.

14 Wheel City Dragons (1-8) - Not even close and I expect to see the same the next 2 weeks.

15 Uganda Silverbacks (2-7) - Just picked up win #2 but will that be enough to keep them up here next season. They don't have a single guaranteed win left so their fate may be in Wheel City's hands.

16 African Mafia (0-9) - Done for the season.

ELEPHANT
1 Sons of Anubis (9-0) - Pretty much just made answered any question as to who the best team is in APL right now. Will that hold true when the playoffs start?

2 Windhoek White Rhinos (8-1) - Big loss to SoA makes next weeks game against ICB a huge one that will decide if WWR gets to keep the #2 seed in the playoffs.

3 Black Sea Sunami (7-2) - After taking a 21-7 halftime lead, BSS escaped with a 7 point win. Good news is that they don't have too many big challenges left so they have the inside track for a home playoff spot.

4 Ivory Coast Breakers (8-1) - Huge win over TAP and the next 4 weeks will be very tough. SoA, WWR, ABD and Guyana will shape where ICB lands in the playoffs.

5 Angola Blood Diamonds (6-3) - After 3 rough losses ABD puts on a clinic against TDP. This is just what they needed to turn things back around. They still have 3 tough games coming up but they are in good shape after taking down TDP.

6 The Dead Presidents (5-4) - Huge loss for TDP against ABD and it will definitely haunt them in the seedings. They can still finish off 9-7 but they can't have any more missteps.

7 Guyana Generalissimo's (6-3) - Ouch. Didn't look like Guyana even showed up in this one. Now they have 5 very hard games ahead of them and it's not unlikely that this team could end up 8-8 now.

8 The African Predators (5-4) - Three tough losses in a row for TAP but things get a little easier now. Good shot for them to take the next 5 games but it won't be easy for them with Guyana and a newly improved A7 team bookending the next 5 weeks.

9 MaRAWK!!o (4-5) - A tough loss against ECS and the remaining schedule looks like a who's who for possible playoff spots. Not in a great position.

10 A7 Nation Army (3-6) - Probably in too deep a hole to dig out of this season but A7 has shown huge improvement the last few weeks. If they play their cards right though they could end up 8-8.

11 Ron's Texans (3-6) - Where have they been? This was a nice win for the Texans but can they string together a few more of these. Their schedule's not too tough from here on out so they could surprise people if they play this way the rest of the season.

12 Ethiopian Camel Snackers (2-7) - Good win over the RAWK but will it be enough to save them from demotion. Semi-favorable schedule should keep them around.

13 Zimbabwe Rebels (2-7) - Two in a row. With Kickin up next they can make it 3 in a row and save themselves from the possibility of demotion.

14 Las Vegas Avengers (2-7) - LVA picks up another win in back to back weeks. Right now they've saved themselves from demotion but the last 3 weeks will definitely decide where they end up.

15 Kickin Djibouti (0-9) - Nothing left to say at this point.

16 Laos King Pongers (2-7) - With games that will decide their demotion fates left against ECS and the Texans and a 5 week stretch against possible playoff teams they may be done for the season.

WEEK 10 RANKINGS
LION

No movement here. Next few weeks should start shaking the rankings apart though.

1 Franchise (10-0) - Outside of a close victory over Fulham this team has been on cruise control all season. They'll face off against 9-1 Canton next week and that will most likely be the final challenge this team faces the rest of the season.

2 Canton Immortals (9-1) - Another impressive win against Lincoln this week but let's be honest here, who has Canton really beaten worth mentioning? They beat A7 before they had their big turnaround. They beat Somalia which in retrospect they should have done anyway. They beat Philly but that's an unpredictable team. They beat SCU but I never saw them as being a top 4 team by the time the end of the season starting closing in. And they lost to Massawa for whatever reason. Next weeks game against Franchise is really going to tell us volumes about this team. Not to mention the last 3 weeks when they face CWE, SF and FFH.

3 Sun City Undertakers (7-3) - SCU dropped the ball against Philly this week as their defense got shredded. They'll have to bounce back against Lincoln because after that is a game with Franchise. With an almost guaranteed 10-6 record at worst they're in good shape for an away game in the playoffs at least but they'll have to play perfect ball the rest of the way if they want to get a home game.

4 Massawa Redhorns (7-3) - Dominated the Ospreys and get a struggling Uganda team up next. After that it's a 3 week battle that will decide a lot of playoff seeds with games against CWE, SF and FFH.

5 San Francisco Demons (7-3) - A win is a win and while it wasn't a 50 point blowout the Demons had this one well in hand before halftime. Having faced most of the top teams already they are also in the best shape to move up into a home playoff spot.

6 Carthaginian War Elephants (7-3) - zzzz. Is that game over yet? CWE is in the same boat as SF as far as schedule and shot at homefield advantage.

7 Fulham Flying Hellfish (7-3) - Still handling their business and i'm still shellshocked they've lost 3 so far.

8 Zambezi Silverbacks (4-6) - Didn't expect much against Franchise and that's what we got. They get 2 winnable games next before running the CWE/SF/FFH gauntlet. That will probably decide their playoff fate and right now it's not looking great.

9 Philly Franklins (4-6) - This is my problem with Philly this season. Just too unpredictable and you don't know what you're getting week in and out. They played ICB within 2 points, beat CWE and now SCU but lost to Zambezi earlier. If they can keep up with this offense they showed off on SCU I could see this team winning 5 of the last 6. Will that be enough to secure a playoff spot though? With Zambezi hot on their heels and owning a tiebreaker Philly can't slip up.

10 Hobart Tazzy Tigers (4-6) - Favorable schedule remaining but this team is one more loss away from being out of the playoff picture.

11 Lincoln Saints (4-6) - Bad loss to Canton was pretty much expected and I can't see them finishing better than 7-9 and that's being optimistic.

12 Somalia Pirates (4-6) - It's like the little engine that could. This team just won't quit. The next 3 weeks will most likely erase any shot at the playoffs for them though.

13 Newfoundland Ospreys (3-7) - Still on pace to make my predicted 5-11 record but can they actually make that.

14 Wheel City Dragons (1-9) - Wheel City has some fight in them as evidenced by some of their games. If they could put it all together for 4 quarters they could be a solid team but right now they're just on notice for demotion.

15 Uganda Silverbacks (2-8) - Tough remaining schedule really puts Uganda's APL fate in other teams hands.

16 African Mafia (0-10) - Done for the season.

ELEPHANT
1 Sons of Anubis (10-0) - Still going strong and it doesn't seem like any team is capable of beating them.

2 Windhoek White Rhinos (9-1) - Rhinos came out and took all their frustrations from last weeks loss out on ABD. A win over ICB should get them to 15-1 and 2 seed.

3 Black Sea Sunami (8-2) - A low scoring affair against TDP except for the 21 point 2nd quarter blow up. Next up: ABD.

4 Ivory Coast Breakers (8-2) - Just got whooped by SoA and they get to follow that up with a game against WWR. Not a fun time but then again this team could very well finish up at 13-3.

5 Angola Blood Diamonds (6-4) - From one end of the spectrum to the other in 2 weeks. First they destroy TDP and then they get destroyed by WWR. Still have 3 tough games ahead that will decide their seeding.

6 Guyana Generalissimo's (7-3) - Guyana needed this win over TAP with SoA, WWR, ICB and ABD the next 4 weeks.

7 The Dead Presidents (5-5) - Another tough loss for TDP but they should take the next 3 easily. The final 3 games will decide their playoff fates and with SoA wrapping up their season nothing is guaranteed.

8 The African Predators (5-5) - Manhandled by Guyana pure and simple. They've got 3 winnable games left and 3 tough ones so they could finish up 8-8 and looking in on the playoffs from home.

9 A7 Nation Army (4-6) - Easy win for the Nation Army. Vastly improved but still digging out of that early season hole they were in.

10 Ron's Texans (4-6) - 2 win in a row. 3 winnable games left. That leaves 3 tough games that will decide their playoff hopes. Still very doable so they're still alive.

11 MaRAWK!!o (4-6) - Big loss to the Texans and with their schedule it's not far off to think they'll finish up 4-12.

12 Ethiopian Camel Snackers (3-7) - 2 wins in a row and with Kickin up next they should make it 3 in a row.

13 Zimbabwe Rebels (3-7) - Still on the cusp of demotion but they should be safe.

14 Las Vegas Avengers (2-8) - Maybe 1-2 more wins tops left this season.

15 Kickin Djibouti (0-10) - Nothing left to say at this point.

16 Laos King Pongers (2-8) - This last loss may have just been the nail in the coffin for Laos in APL.

Hopefully the Rebels will be able to rebound from an extremely bad start to the season coupled with some of our coordinators being away for most of Sept-this past week.

Thanks for keeping these predictions and rankings going E! Definitely one of the highlights of my morning reads usually (sometimes late night reads).
