I think Valhalla had run it's course. Almost the entire roster was heading into heavy decline and even if they had recruited a whole new team, the chemistry hit would've been epic.

Now, if they had gotten Bort's big bowtied gift called extended plateau after that 2nd or 3rd title, then yes...they'd probably be right in the thick of things again. They probably would've been put in Zeta too...you know, to even the conference out.

I'd put Blaze and Lincoln in the top 5 WL teams of all-time too. You'd have to be an ignorant fool and a homer to not put them there.

I don't think valhalla's current team would dominate today at all. Team effective sp isn't everything but they maxed out at like 1105 or something while about 10 teams started the season higher than that this year and are still gaining lvls. Not to mention, with extended plateau, they would've lost the extra VAs they gained during the first decline season. W_allow was a good coordinator and as a legendary team they could've recruited a new roster fairly easily but hardly a lock. WL is immensely more talented than 2-3 seasons ago

seems like a bunch of teams muddled in the next tier. between teams that have had long WL stints, but no real deep playoff push.... and teams that really threatened for a title (failed) and didn't last.

and no... i can't tell if this is an actual discussion thread or if it's some troll/flame thread.

I'd say Bonn Dynamo has to get a nod for either #5 or #6, s11-s16 WL Tenure and a Conference Title.

Yeah, kind of like the season where they forgot to re-sign everyone, their chemistry dropped down to 10, and they still went undefeated? >.<

Yeah, after that, it's a group of teams that've always been around, but never made deep runs in the postseason. HHW, Cincinnati, So Cal, Moose Jaw, Alpine, Indy, etc. Teams like Saigon, Kai, Gunny's and D9 will be in that discussion too if they can repeat the success they had in S16.
