Not our fault that competition was inferior in OPL.

I know it's only LOL Scrim's but we did knock of the Gurupies twice.

Also -- now 2 top teams in Indianapolis and So Cal BDC coming from OPL, so top level talent in that league is not bad. We may surprise some teams.

Anyway.... plain and simple, we are here, we are going to work hard, and hope to pull off some upsets.

yes, but the logic behind the current promotion rules is that teams are playing on the same level of competition. And trust me, OPL Alpha and EEPL Zeta aren't the same level of competition. Sure EEPL Zeta isn't the pinnacle of the game, but it's still not fair to compare points allowed between the two. So, it may not be your fault that OPL was inferior, but when you say "in all fairness..." let's actually be fair. And no, I don't have a fair way to compare the two teams, which is why I would have preferred a team like HHWC stay in WL. But using private/lolscrims would definitely not be fair against Indy would definitely not be fair.

Either way though, you're here now. Congrats and GL.

Well, even with niboris rankings hhwc wasn't the best team not currently in WL. Blitzkrieg, then Carthage should be next

Whatever though. To me i see this like being on the bubble for the NCAA Tournament. If you're on the bubble, chances are you have about 12 losses including a couple bad ones to teams with no tourney chances. Sure the team who gets in 1spot before you, you might be able to construct a case for your time instead but really at that point, no one deserves to get in. Should've done the work required to guarantee a spot and not left it up to chance. There are always like 5-6 teams (hedgehogs, clash, eea, smurfs, osaka, atkm, hhwc, mod, ) who deserve to make it but thems the breaks. Should we go like the ncaa tournament on expand WL? The last 3-4 teams not to make it will still make a case though so who cares

so W Alloy is too pussy to run his team with 479 day old players or retool....good riddance IMO.....next season with hsi 479 day old players it would have been a little more competitive for the league...instead you take the pussy way out....I say get a life to that low life....

I'm not really here to make an argument for HHWC to stay in the World League..... We had our chance to make it 6 seasons in a row and we fell short.... Those are the rules and we fell short... We understand that.

That being said.... I think WL teams who finish just short of a playoff spot are plenty better than pro teams who fail to win their conference championship game.... obviously there are exceptions... but I feel like most would agree that is where they should look to fill the spots.... Just seems like they should figure out a better system to fill the holes than "First Caller wins a spot in the World League"...

We have no problem going back to USA Pro to win 20 games and earning our spot back in the World League.

Wake up. Valhalla spent weeks re-tooling and had a roster set. The guy said he didn't have time or interest to keep up with it all, so he is walking away. If you don't understand that, you got your head up your ass. 3 straight WL championships and your calling him out for being a pussy? Pussy.

This is not how the teams moving up were chosen, as I certainly didn't "call" anything tbqh.

I was referring to the emails sent to various conference runner ups and said "First one to respond yes gets the spot"

Wasn't necessarily talking about the Hogs. Wasn't calling anybody out.

Fwiw my PM said "Jam are resetting - interested in the spot? Need an answer ASAP please."

When I asked for clarification, I was told "you were the 2nd team we went to, first team declined. Basically looked at all the teams that made their CCG and were 15-1 or 16-0 and went from there. Hedgehogs were in our opinion the best fit of the 15-1 teams."

Dude, a couple of seasons ago blaze or chocolate turtles won USA Pro and then gutted. They asked OTRRD (USAPL East conference runner-up) who declined, then they offered SOFPM (who lost in the USA Pro East semis.) I started a thread asking why Ketchikan (USAPL West conference runner-up) wasn't offered the spot (or more precisely, I called people out for making up arbitrary bullshit on the fly that screwed our team over) and catch locked it and said it always stays in the conference of the team that gutted and track doesnt know the rules and blah blah blah whatever man.

we finished 26th in the world last season and only one non-WL team played a tougher schedule than us. we also lost the conference championship game two seasons in a row. hard to find a reason why we wouldn't get consideration other than 'bort hates apl'...

why dont we have an official system for this yet? it's pretty obvious that every season there's going to be some team gutting either coming up, or staying here, and if the ground rules were laid out there'd be alot less drama.
